Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 2 Feb. 2026

Welcome to February. This year is steaming ahead and things are happening fast. At the moment we got the pleasure of having our good friends, Greg, Marci, Shannon and Marie here with us. Greg was with me that faithful night when I made the horrible crash, 12 years ago. We were talking about that night in length again as the anniversary is coming up in a few days. By God’s grace I can say that He saved my life that night.

Greg preached in church in ROL and it was a wonderful time listening to him talking about Forgiveness. Something we all fall short off in our lives. So needed in today’s environment with wars and protest around us. Toinette could show off the small children to them in Mighty Kids. They were so surprise to find the Joshua generation kids naming the Bible books in the New Testament from front to back and backwards. They totally put us all to shame. Marci reckons the kids in the West can come and learn from these kids in Cambodia about being joyful and so willing to learn new things. Pray with us for the staff of Good Shepherd Rol as they are making a difference in children’s lives.

We said goodbye to our beloved friends Jared, Emily and Eli Reid. They served in AOC up in Stung Treng now for around 11 years and feel the Lord is calling them back to NZ. We are sad to see them going, even if we did not visit much it always was so reassuring that they are in country and not to far away from us. Beautiful people and really wonderful friends is all I can say. They will be miss dearly. Always sad and emotional to say goodbye to long term friends. Pray for them as they will be in a new transition back home and for fitting into their new culture.

We are waiting for Anton to come in 1 week on 7 February. It is his official trimester break and even he is looking forward to it. Off course mom and dad cannot wait to have their sweetheart at home again. Pray for Anton as he needs to finish up a lot of work in this week. I will be going to Ratanakiri on Wednesday and be back on Friday for a quick visit to my friend with a bad infection. Pray for safe travelling and for open hearts and minds when I deal with the patient and his neighbor who got Leprosy.

We are totally blessed beyond measure, is all I can say. Thanks for praying with us and always making even time to read this letter.

Love

Rossouw-clan
