Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 9 Feb.2026

Good evening you all

Praise the Lord that Anton could come and visit us again. He is on his Trimester break. To get him here was a head ache. We struggled with his visa as they wanted so many new things and I was on my way to Ratanakiri in the bus. Later I gave up hope and phoned Toinette to do it on the computer. She got it right to upload, send a pitiful letter with to tell them that we only want our son to come and visit, and we got the visa. Sjoe….

Well, my trip to Ratanakiri started problematic. Like I said, we struggled with Anton’s visa the whole week, I booked my bus tickets wrong and tried to change it and had to rebook again, Twans felt ill in the morning and when Twans dropped my off at the bus, the car was broken. Clutch was not working as it was leaking oil from a broken cylinder. Well, Junmar to the rescue and he told the mechanic that it’s still under guarantee as they fixed it a week ago. The got it fixed and all for free. I was on the bus. In the end everything worked out for good, we know already that when I go to Ratanakiri that things will get bad. We just had to do a bit of spiritual warfare.

I met up with Gordon and Bee in Banlung and we went to see my 2 tribal friends. Poi’s foot still looks the same as the wound is really big. He keeps it nice and clean and his health looks better than last time I saw him. I actually think now that the Lord is busy healing him spiritually as well as physically. Gordon is busy training a pastor from a nearby church to reach out to these guys as there is no church in the village. Poi and his wife accepted the Lord but now the hard work is ongoing.

Our” Leper “friend is doing fine, his wound healed up pretty good, praise the Lord. We could see a few other people as well and could give them some advice. Always a great time with these 2 wonderful people. I also met up with my longtime friend, James. Always good to see him and hear from him how life treats him.

News from Twans and the Acts program in KoukResay: We finished a 3 day First Aid Workshop with the kids. All the classes, from the morning at 8 till the evening 7h30pm.  They learned about basic wound care, how to stop bleeding, stabilize fractures, nosebleeds, snake bites, what to do when someone goes into shock etc. The children enjoyed the practical application after each topic. Lots of laughter if the "patient “would get so excited during the role-play and "Cry out in pain" or pretend to faint. Some of the older students wrote in their feedback that it gives them confidence to help others. Please continue to pray for the Acts students. Some of them have very difficult situations at home. Parents leaving to other provinces to look for work to pay off loans, leaving children with sickly grandmothers. Please pray also for wisdom and guidance on how to help these students more in a practical way.

Thank you very much for praying with us.

Love

Rossouw-clan
