Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 26 Jan.2026

We are back from the jungle in one piece, all of us……. This time of the year there are lots of sand that makes it a bit difficult for small bikes but never the less more work. My friend, Greg came from the States and joined us on the trip. We started off at our favorite restaurant at the old Chinese uncle. Full bellies we mounted the bikes for a real dusty ride up to Kabal Domrey church.

This time most of the people were interested in the gospel and Dim and Curtis had plenty of time to talk to people. Dim is thinking of starting another outreach point which will make it now 3 places he need to go to on a Saturday and visit. Soon there will be more people working on their land as Cashew season is coming and they need to prepare the trees.

Checking some Glucose levels at one place due to the chief’s high blood sugar, gave us the opportunity to help him with a nasty ulcer he got on his toe. This is all due to this diabetes. His count is dangerous high and luckily I brought him some meds. His dad also came and the old uncle is a cool 105 years old. Still going strong.

When we arrived the afternoon at our overnight place, the anti was not doing well. She is sick already for a long time and cannot walk. I brought some nice cream for painful joints with and rubbed in her knees. The next morning, she thanked me for that meds as it helped her to walk again. Overworked and no rest do that to your body. They spend a lot of money on medicines that do not really work. Rather accept that they work hard and will have pain and deal with that, they are looking for a cure for the pain. When you getting old, the aches and pains are there automatically, even if your drink a lot of medicine, it just comes back.

Uncle believe if he gets 4 IV fluids in a row with some vitamins in, then he feels good again. But 1 bag of IV fluid is U$25. You can buy it at the pharmacy for U$1 and do it yourself but when the doctor does it, it works better. Hmmmm So basically they spend U$100 for IV fluid with Vitamin B complex, then they feel better. That money is blood money as they need to work hard for that sort of money.

The morning we returned to Rum Jopon for church. It is so good to see the woman growing in their faith. Greg could share to them and Curtis translated. Pray for this little church to stand firm in His word and be an example to people around them.

Please pray for Shannon, one of our friends that came with Greg. He got some medical challenges at the moment. Pray for him to get healed while he is in Cambodia.

Pray for fruit from the big Franklin Grahame crusade that just finished here in Siem Reap. Thousands of believers attended this big meeting and I hear from friends that it was a very encouraging time for them. People here in Cambodia are hungry for the word of God.

Love to you all
