Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night Prayers 30 Aug 2021

Good Evening Dear Family and Friends,

Twans shares: I was listening to some of our university students share during a Zoom bible study on how the Word of God transformed their lives. One shared how scared he was to tell his parents that he became a Christian and how he hid it at first. Then he shared saying "when I read the Bible, the fear goes out of me and I could share to them".
We have a lot of worries going on at the moment and this is such a good reminder to rather fill our minds with His Word.

Immigration contacted us about Gideon's visa and scheduled an interview for Thursday morning. We applied for a business visa but he is not employed so we asked that you would please pray with us for this.  If they would not give the visa, he would have to leave the country.

Praise God for favor and provision for Anton's school fees for this year. The school agreed to still give us a discount for this year. So now he can finish his year 10 at the school. Thank you for your prayer for this. We ask that you will pray for us for wisdom and guidance for his years 11 and 12. We need to find a homeschooling option that would be acknowledged at most tertiary institutions for his further studies after school.

Anton received his first dose of vaccine yesterday. We stood in line for almost 4 hours. Some of the moms had huge spraying bottles filled with alcohol and every few minutes they would start spraying their children, over the head, on the back and even the feet get sprayed. 😁He was the only foreigner in between about 400 Khmer students.  We had to fill in a form that was all in Khmer and a young student came and offered her help. She stayed with Anton through the whole process. So thankful.

Noak is doing well. Her wound is doing a bit better again. She filled her "palace" with leaves and flowers again this week. Some days she is peaceful and quiet and other days she talks non-stop and it is difficult to follow everything she says. She always has a small packet of candy or biscuits ready that I need to bring to the boys. Hoping to get Khmer Christian woman to go to her and build a relationship with her on a regular basis. Please pray for this.

Quote from yesterday's sermon: The sheep feel safe not because of the environment, but because of the Shepherd.
