Good Evening dear family and friends,
This week we've kept our cellphones near, just
waiting for news of Jean, Mordegai's older brother. He is currently in the ICU
with Covid pneumonia and fighting.
Please continue to pray. The whole week, I kept on remembering Psalm 46:
11 "Be still and know that I am God" and it just helped so much when
praying for our brother, family, and friends.
Almost daily we receive news of someone we knew in Namibia and South
Africa who has passed away from Covid or still fighting.
Here in Siem Reap the foreigners could get Covid
Vaccine for 3 days only. Long queues, lots of miscommunication, and a few times
back and forth, but we received it eventually. At one stage, we were told had
to wait at least 3 hours for the next numbers to be handed out. Me and Gideon just
found a partly shady spot and sat down (Mordegai ran off to go buy a coffee of
course). Some others threw tantrums. Then 20 minutes later one of the officials
came to me and said, we can go in, no need to wait. We were so thankful. All this was very stressful
for Gideon, but he was very brave and we are so proud of him.
The commune leader of the village where we have the
online classes and small church contacted our NGO asking for help with the
families in this commune who are under quarantine. So FGC community link were
able to help more families by handing out food packs. We are so thankful for
this opportunity because this is a great way for us to build relationships with
the commune leader and the families.
Great time for stress release is when I take the
boys on a bike trip through the big lake near our house. This time it was very
wet and we got full of mud but the boys enjoyed it like dad. I try to bring
them regularly as screen time is all they do, so a nice ride is good for the
soul and afterwards we enjoy some local food at a small eatery, just what the
doctor ordered.
May God bless you and keep you safe in this week to
come. We pray that He will step into your lives and work miracles where needed.
Love
Rossouw-clan
