Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night Prayers 28 June 2021

So what do we write tonight?? I, Mordecai got the chance to write, and believe me there is nothing to write about than Covid stories and that you people heard enough. With sad and worrying news from Namibia, this week was a hard one to process, do not really know how people do it back home. My heart is currently in Namibia where things do not look good. But we believe in a wonderful God that can heal us??

Listen to some golden oldies like Don Moen, who calms you down as he describes the goodness of God in such a beautiful way. Listen to this one on YouTube: I am the God that Healeth Thee. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=op-NZCJUfnM  We can focus so quickly on things around us that we forget to focus on the God above. Yes, I know it is difficult in hard times to press into God but we need to even when things are desperate. Here I am preaching to you all but actually, I am talking to myself.

Even the children can feel this Covid thing around them. They are permanently at home and what to do to keep them busy. I find it nice to talk to them the night before they sleep about some good stuff. We finished the book, Beautiful Outlaw and dived into Wild at Heart by John Eldredge, right now. It opens up a whole new world to these 2 young boys. Believe me, these books are great for teenagers. We just started with Wild at Heart and already they are up and talking it away, every night. It is good for us to talk about things in the world today and not just put our heads into the sand.

I am lucky in the sense that I can go to Noah every day. I drive past the temples, we are not allowed to do it but the guards know me now and I stop and talk to them from time to time. It is a much better road due to construction or may I say destruction on the highway. It is refreshing to ride through a bit of tree that is saved due to the Archeological Park. By the way, she is doing so much better. Her wound is definitely getting smaller but we still have a long way to go. Every day is a different day in her mind and some days I am convinced that God keeps me from understanding her due to all the nonsense she can come up with. I just listen and keep quiet. She loves to talk, so I let her.

Please pray with us for this Covid situation to get to a point so that “” normal”” can start again. My friend was in quarantine in the province and if you do not have money it’s difficult to sit there for 2 weeks. Luckily this boy is very resilient and is getting around it. Thanks to Social Media, I can encourage him almost daily.

We pray for all of you struggling at this time. May our God be there for you all?

Love

Rossouw-clan
