Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayer 17 May 2021

Good Evening!

We started our Monday with a bang this morning. The boys struggled to get into "school mode" after the long weekend.

We had a national holiday on Friday and went with the staff on a trip. We all went on our small motos. Gideon behind Twans and Anton had to sit behind me. It was a long motorbike ride first on the highway and then into the province. We went to a village where they’ve build everything out of the mud. Amazing! Angry Birds was the boys' favorite. After that, we travelled further to visit a small forest. They've built a small walkway all through the forest and it was good to walk surrounded by trees and silence. Our boys loved the day out. It is always very special to spend time with the staff and university students of Community Link. Twans's old students are a special group and it is a privilege to see how they are growing in their relationship with God and each other.

We now have a room, especially for the online classes. JunMar has set it up with lights, sound etc to help make our online classes a better quality. Twans and the teachers are having fun preparing small videos and teaching material.  The students who are able to join are faithful in attendance. It is difficult to get them to hand in homework. They need to take a picture of their homework and send it to us, but many times it is clear they just copy from one another. Miss the face-to-face classroom a lot.

Thankful to be able to go to Noak every morning. Her wound is looking better. She loves to chat and is very happy if I bring Twans with. Had to encourage her again to take a bath every morning as she skipped a few days again. Please pray for discernment and understanding as we try to teach her to clean her own wound and take some responsibility but need wisdom on how to do it. We know God loves her so much and we pray for her salvation. Nothing is impossible for our God. We watched the interview with Steve Saint last night (from "end of the spear") with the children and were so encouraged by his testimony. He went through a lot of pain and he just kept on saying, God loves us and God loves and we just need to continue walking in obedience to Him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-FPehZC4tI&t=2488s

Please pray with us for Gideon. He turns 18 tomorrow! We thank God for the many miracles He has done in our son's life. Schoolwork is a huge challenge at the moment. Please pray for him for understanding, a sound mind, the ability to concentrate and a desire to learn. And most of all, that he would fall in love with Jesus and follow Him with all his heart.

May this week be a real blessing to you all?

Love
