Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 26 April 2021

Good evening!

So tempted to start off with news on the extended lockdown but held me back and tried to remember there are other things going on too. We were able to go walk on a deserted back road near the lake yesterday with the boys and the dogs. I went to Noak first in the morning and arrived late at home so we went walking near lunchtime. Hot, Hot, Hot !! But we managed to reach the lake and could walk a bit of the way with a breeze. Mooze, our husky/golden retriever mix overheated and went straight for a mud bath.

Noak was sick this past week, her face was swollen from an infected tooth. She did not take her meds and by Friday she had a fever and not doing well. Praying and helping her to take her meds and she was back to herself by Saturday. She is so sweet, buying me some bread and water, asking me to eat and rest before I go home. Please pray for her.

We’re listening to the "Pineapple Story" last night with our boys. We've listened to this many years back and it was such a good reminder. Anton was really touched by the part where the tribal guy told the missionary "You've become a Christian" when the missionary stopped being angry at them for stealing his pineapples. Listening to him sharing so openly and honestly of his failures and how God so patiently taught him to let go of his rights challenged us again. He ends the story with the question of what you have to let go of, what control you need to give over to God. I think our biggest struggle on where to let go and to trust God completely is with Gideon. Please pray for us in this. Watch it here if you did not hear it yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt23gnwjdsU

Some news from Judy Johnson:

I just wanted to check in with everyone. The change in Judy's chemo medication seems to be a good one. Her skin is healed and she seems to be feeling better. It is so good to talk to her and hear her laughing again. You all know what that sounds like. Keep the prayers coming and reach out to her. She loves hearing from you. Thanks again.

Thank you very much for praying for us. We pray that in these difficult times you will experience God’s helping hands.

Love

Rossouw-clan
