Dear Family and Friends
We grew up in Namibia and these past few weeks we
are longing home as we receive news and footage of rain and flooding in
Namibia. It is so special to see how thankful everyone is for the rain. The
Namibians will travel far, even a few hundred kilometers just to see how water
fills up a dry river bed. Psalm 23: 3 “He restores my soul” and in our language
Afrikaans it says “Hy verkwik my siel” meaning he refreshes it. Watching the
water running in streams in the dessert I was just praising God for He restores
and refreshes us. Amen !
We ask your prayer for the ACTS program in KoukResay
village. Twans shares how more than 80 % of their students has dropped out of
the program since the government schools opened up again. The students all
attend extra classes provided by the teachers and for which they have to pay. Some
teachers even ask up to a 1000riel per student per class. They have missed
almost a whole year of school and since schools reopened all have moved on to
the next grade so now all attend extra classes. Please pray for the FGC team
for guidance on how to move forward with this new challenge.
Mordegai is going on outreach to Ratanakiri this
week. He will accompany Pastor Samai to the small churches he planted in the
province and do health care while Pastor Samai will spend time with the pastors.
Please pray for protection, favor from the people and that the pastors would be
encouraged.
May God bless you all this week?
Love
Rossouw-clan
