Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 8 June 2026

Good evening everyone from a wet and hot Siem Reap. Rainy season arrived in style and you can see smiles on all the farmers and even the normal people as well. Rain makes for packing everything away so it cannot rot, like my wood. Had to fix the roof as well cause the leaking is a bit bad.

Once in a while they ask me to preach and this last Sunday it was me again. I talked about The Great Commission in Matthew. Everyone here understands when you talk about rice and the methods of farming with it. So I use what Paul said that some sow and others reap, in context with planting rice. It turned out to be a really nice way of explain the Great Commission to them. Then afterwards I told them the story of Nate Saint and his 4 friends, who got killed in the Amazon because they believed in the Great Commission. I am sure most of you heard this incredible story but if not, you can watch The End of the Spear and also look at a lot of videos from these guys on YouTube. What makes this an incredible story is that each one of these guys had a job to do and they did it perfectly. Their story did not stop when they got killed. The Waodani tribe received Christ in an incredible way. When God say we need to go, we better pack and go.

Please pray:

Junmar and Indin were on their way to work in Malaysia but got stopped with lots of paperwork and more stress to get the right papers to go. They are trying new options but in order for them to go, we need to pray.

Anton finished 1 interview today for his internship and he reported that he was really nervous doing this. Our little man is learning as he enters the big world. He will know on Thursday if he got accepted. He is applying to more places, so please pray for him for wisdom in all of this.

Russel and Lourenza Hainsworth is back in South Africa after she got sick here in Siem Reap. They could not help her here and now the hospitals in SA is also not helping her. She is not doing well and we expect the worst. Please pray for her 2 daughters who are still here in Siem Reap and pray that God will move in this family.

We met up with an old-time friend of ours, Patrick Elaschuk. He and his family were our neighbors in Davao and his wife and Toinette studied together for midwives. Always special to see friends from our past and we can still visit like it was yesterday when we saw each other.

Thank you for your continued prayers for us.

Love

Rossouw-clan
