Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 15 June 2026

Good evening all

I am back from a grueling but really beautiful outreach in the jungle. It was only Dim and me going so we did it in no time. Riding came easier this time as it is rainy season and the ground is wet and no sand. Lots of people are seeking their fortunes in the jungle and even the odd Chinese citizens are roaming around in order to do “” Geology””. Hmm, don’t we know that they are looking for gold? The problem is that these guys got money and bring in big machines and more sooner than later, there are nothing left for the local guys to extract.

We are hearing rumors of new villages being set up on the side of the mountain as the Chinese push bigger roads right through the remaining jungle. On the one hand I do like the roads as it makes life for the local people easier to travel but on the other hand there are also the bad element to look at. Sometimes development is not a good thing. The problem here is the greed of people that makes life even more difficult.

Besides all the rumors and uncertainty, we continue to help people with medicines and a cool breeze of the Lord in this heat. It is always such a blessing to be among the people and the smiles and gratitude of people makes a long ride the even better. The resilience of these farmers are staggering as they work day and night to make ends meet. I can just hope that development brings schools closer and more children can get education.

Thank you for praying for Anton. He got the job for the internship that he liked and looking forward to start working soon. We praise the Lord that this School is only nearby and he do not need to travel so far. It is small and we hope he can learn a lot from these people.

Continue to pray for Lourenza. “”Our beloved mother is fighting for her life. She has lost mobility and bodily function control. We simply cannot care for her as her needs are too great after suffering severe neurological damage.””

Toinette started to get a few ladies together for some sewing classes. It’s more a fellowship than sewing but everyone wants to learn something new. Twans made a pair of pot holders but the girls refuse to use it as it was too beautiful. Why do you want to use something so beautiful to lift up hot pots?? We pray that this little fellowship/sewing club will make the way for the ladies to invite their friends to come as well and see what this Jesus is all about.

Thank you for praying

Love
