Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 4 May 2026

Whoohoo first good rains since November 2025. It was just pouring here at home. Like a true Namibian we are so happy to get rain and smell the earth for a chance. Here in my house we smell wet chicken poo but even that smells good for a change hahaha.

We had a privilege to have our brother Friedhelm visiting us. Over countless cups of coffee and croissants we visited till late in the nights. So nice to have our beloved friend here with us. Over these years we build a bond that is thicker than anything and we share the same values and hope for the future. So good to have a fellow missionary here that we could share our hearts with.

We went with my other dear friend Isaack to the refugees and gave them 2 sets of swings. It was so cute to see the children waiting for us to finish, once they realize what these contraptions were. Junmar made small talk with helping us to complete all of this stuff. Going to miss this son of mine so much. The children enjoyed the swings and sorted each other out by playing rock paper scissors in order to get to the swings. Later they started to count to 20 in order to give everyone a change to swing. All we can hope for is that they still will have countless enjoyfull days on that swings. We are planning more swings in other camps as well. Another camp nearby already asked for one. So need to start working.

Anton just finished a very fruitful camp with his local church in Malaysia and reported that he is enjoying the presence of the Lord right now. Pray for him as he is really busy to finish his trimester and lots of things are happening on campus as well as in church. We are glad that he is walking this walk with the Lord and know that the Lord is taking his hand in everything he is doing.

It was nice to be in ROL church yesterday again. My fav boy, David had to warm up to me first as he did not see me in a long time. We eventually could have spent good time together. Our little princess is so cute but she is a bit more reserved than David. Love being the oupa and ouma of these 2 precious little ones. Indin shared about women we do not know so much. The mother of Samson the wife of Manoah, Abigial the wife of Nabal and the midwifes Shiphrah and Puah in Egypt that saved the boys when the Pharaoh wanted to kill all the boys. It was so interesting listening to her as this is not people so familiar than some woman in the Bible. We are never too old to learn new things.

Thank you for praying with us. May this week be a beautiful week for you all.

Love

Rossouw-clan
