Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 30 March 2026

 Good evening everyone

Wow another month gone. We went to the big city to join Anton as he returned to Malaysia for his next trimester. Please pray for him as this will be hard one as they are finishing up the course before they will take internships. It is strange not to have him around after this nice holiday. I think its harder for the parents to be without him than the other way around.

Last week we could go with our good friend Isaack from PCL to Prea Vehear in order to give some food to the refugees. “”More than 50,000 Cambodian refugees are still waiting…waiting for a home they can’t return to. For many, life has moved forward, but for these families, it’s been put on pause. Every day is filled with uncertainty, survival, and unanswered questions. The need hasn’t gone away.””

Anton could help to distribute rice for 900+ families and then the fun started. I brought some cars with for the children. I only had 178 cars and the children, well there were a lot and we got swamped. I thought I was back in Africa where people will swamp you like this but desperate people also do this. This was a new experience for poor Anton but he survived it to tell the tale. At least he made the wheels of the cars, so he is much part of the making of the cars.

Always good to go with Isaack as he is a dear friend and it gives us chance to catch up. There are not many long term missionaries left and we are a dying breed at the moment. We met up with another old timer Joel and could have good fellowship over lunch. So nice to be with mind like people.

This weekend on Easter we will be in the jungle and it will be a wonderful opportunity for us to share the love of Jesus on Easter to the new believers. This will be their 1st Easter together and we are excited to share it with them. Please pray for safe travelling and enough fuel………… It is stinking hot here and that makes for a hard ride in the sun.

Please pray for me, Mordegai as I struggle with my blood pressure. Went to the doctor and is on new drugs but seems it is not working properly, will make another trip to the doctor this week. Toinette is in pain with Plantar Fasciitis on one foot and because she walks bad to compensate for the pain, the other foot also is painful. We are full of old people illnesses, hahaha

Well thank you for praying with us and it really makes a difference when you guys pray. I know we say every time we write but God is still in control of our lives.

Love

Rossouw-clan
