Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 2 March 2026

Good evening all

Not much is happening this side of the globe, except that it is stinking hot. The war has stopped but so many people cannot go home just yet. Small update from my friend Isaack who is helping in the area. ” Things are largely the same. The “ceasefire” is still holding although Thailand continues to violate it daily. Thailand continues to hold large swaths of land inside internationally recognized Cambodian territory, and even past the disputed areas they claim are theirs.

There are still around 70,000 displaced Cambodian refugees. They still can’t return home as they are from the red zones and their homes and land are either being held by Thailand or it’s still not safe to return due to unexploded ordnance. Many have no homes to return to even if the Thai army eventually goes back to the internationally recognized borders. “” Please pray for a resolution on this situation. Please pray for the people in the refugee camp up North that flooded due to rain. We can see the difference here in the basic goods we buy. Most stuff gets imported via Thailand and now we cannot get that products anymore and need to buy more expensive imported goods.

I was just complaining to Anton about all these AI generated stuff you get these days as adds on social media. Difficult to believe anything you see. I look at things now with different eyes and need to verify reports that come in as Breaking News. Still cannot believe that people can generate such nonsense and think people need to believe them. But then I am “”old school””, like Anton say. These days I check things back and forth in order to see if it is true. I realize that we need to even fact check some Christian stuff that is floating around. With so many “big boy preachers” that are falling down, you never know who talks nonsense or sense. I am just saying!!

We are enjoying the simplicity of Cambodia and it is apparent all around us. I stopped at a small shop and asked Anton to buy us some cool drinks. There were a couple of old antis sitting around and when Anton walks in, he was in the trap. They were ready for a talk and poor Anton cannot speak Khmer, but they wanted to talk to him so badly. I spoke from out of the car and they all started to laugh. People here are so friendly and always ready to talk, even if you cannot talk back. We need to learn to live more simplified.

Ok , I am just rambling here. The Rossouws are doing well. We did some blood tests this morning and seems we are not doing so bad. Small things we need to attend too. Ugghh they say we need to exercise, not happening in this heat.

Love you all

Rossouw-clan
