Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 14 June 2021

Good Evening!

We're having a nice cool evening due to a much welcome rain shower this afternoon.😁

Anton's school follows the American calendar so it is Summer Vacation over here. We had a family meeting to just at least try and agree on how we will limit "screen time".  This is quite a challenge. We will continue with homeschooling and in July the boys will have 2 weeks of NO SCHOOL! Anton enrolled in a couple of online courses in Photoshop and Design.

Gideon wants us to "Travel around the World" again, so once a week we will prepare a meal from a different country. This week it is Mexico!

Took the boys for a quick spin on the bikes around Baray Lake. This time of the year it is beautiful as the rice is just up and you can already start to smell the nice rice, yes you can smell it, for Asians that’s normal, for sure it sounds strange but it’s a true story. We had fun through some good water holes and could eat our favorite snack at a small shop. Fried sausages and everything processed you can dream off, hahaha, with some good chilly and we were good.

Noak had "Salon Day" on Saturday morning. Mordegai and I tried to untangle her hair for an hour and a half! We were relieved when we finally reached her scalp. Then I saw that her scalp was full of scars.  She is usually very talkative and at the beginning, she was chatting away but when I started to rub the conditioner in she grew very quiet. Just prayed for her and was wondering when was the last time she felt beautiful. So thankful for her, she is a blessing to us. Of course, immediately afterward she picked up every strand of hair we had to cut and put it in a plastic bag, and stored it away somewhere in her palace. She gave us a "Fanta" and said thank you. Today she sent some candy for the boys.

Covid numbers are increasing here in Siem Reap so the chance of going out of town is not so good. Trying not to get discouraged and to be faithful with what God places in front of us every day. We are waiting for the vaccines to be sent to the provinces as Phnom Pehn is first in line.

Online Classes with the students in the village are going well. Some students are sharing about the situation at home. One student shared how his dad is drunk now every day. Please pray for our students, more and more families are now without any income. The Khmer people are such an example to us, they really know how to survive with so little money. But it is getting harder and domestic violence is increasing now as well.

Love
