Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 31 May 2021

Good Evening Dear Family and Friends

We received news yesterday that one of our friends from home is in critical condition in the ICU from Covid. She has been a part of our prayer team since I and Toinette left home for full-time missions in 1996. This group committed to praying for us and other missionaries and faithfully gathered every Monday evening to pray.  They are our heroes! Please pray for Trudie, that her lung capacity would increase and she would be healed.

The staff and students came over to celebrate Twans' birthday with us Saturday night. What a privilege to be with them all, they are now our family. Anton drew a lovely picture for his mom. When Toinette asked Gideon writes her a card he replied, "Mom, I said I love you and that's enough !" 😁

They are digging up almost all the roads in Siem Reap, putting in new water pipes, and planning to put wide walkways next to the roads. It is total chaos at the moment. If you want to ride on a "good" road then go and ride on the village roads!  If you enter town from the highway it is just one big dust cloud. Roads are dugged, destroyed, build up then dugged up again, it seems like there is no plan! One of the students said last night, "Teacher, they do this on purpose so that the people will stay home during the lockdown and not go out ".

Please continue to pray for Noak. Her mind is not always clear and she talks in circles. Pray for her to come to understand and believe how much God loves her. How important she is to Him. Her wound looks good and we continue to pray for healing.

Apo's parents come and visit us about once a week. (Apo, the young man who is paralyzed and has big bedsores. ) They come to get some wound care materials and hang out a bit. We give them some odd jobs here and there to help with income. His dad wants an air compressor, which will help him a lot in his small business.  We will try to get him one.

Please pray for Monika Barnard who is in for a knee replacement, today. Pray for protection and a successful operation.

Please pray for Grace and Xerxes Casas in The Philippines. They both have Covid and are currently at home. They are our family from Davao and very dear to us. Pray for healing.

Want to share the following testimony from Anton with you all: We mentioned a few weeks ago that we watched the "pineapple story" with our kids. Last week Anton became very discouraged. All his friends from his class are leaving and now with online school, he feels very isolated. He felt that they also don't think or remember him as they did not join in meet up during class as well. He shared with us that he felt so upset about it all. Then he prayed and gave his "pumpkin patch" (aka Pineapple field) to the Lord, saying he doesn't want to be so upset about it all anymore. The very next morning, 2 of them contacted him, one shared with him what pictures that he drew, she would pack to remember him by and they all joined for the meetup! So excited to see our son building a relationship with Our Lord!

May the Lord bless you and keep you safe this week.

Love

Rossouw-clan
