Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 3 August 2020

I am writing to you on this nice cloudy Sunday from Siem Reap in Cambodia. Supposedly we will get a lot of rain but the rain fell only in certain areas. We need a lot of rain as the farmers are desperate for rain for their crops. Went riding with the boys today and people are out harvesting rice. Was great to see how the technology works and could show the boys how the new and old school works. People here where we were today, are happy as they have water from Baray Lake that is getting emptier by the day. As the water goes down they plant rice.

I am on my way to the North in Ratanakiri tomorrow morning to go out with my friend Samai. Looking forward to spending more time with my good friend. I am busy with Heang to start breeding with local chickens. We bought a few hens and cocks and we are waiting for the eggs to breed out so we can have more chickens to sell. It is just a small project but it keeps this family alive in these difficult times. Pray for our small project.

The school has not officially opened up yet but we started full force again with Gideon's homeschooling. Please pray for our big boy. It is not easy for him and he is really trying to stay calm and do his work together with his mom.   Anton continues do study drawing programs and has to do a reading, mental math exercises, and some other projects till his school starts again after KNY. Khmer New Year was supposed to be in April but due to lockdown they moved it up to the middle of August and extended it to a full week. We try to go walk at least 3x a week for some exercise. Twans is teaching every afternoon and enjoying her time with the students. She said she was 'ambushed" by the university class this week because in the reading passage it talked about "Power Bars" and no matter how much she explained they just kept on saying they don't understand they have to see and taste. So they made "power bars' in class on Thursday. On Monday afternoons after class, she also goes to a family member of one of our staff who has a special needs boy. The mother is very open to learn and talk about it so they go and share ideas and some teaching tools and material she can try. Mordegai of course now has to make some more teaching materials from the wood.

Were challenged last Monday during bible study to encourage each other. To really make time, pray, and give a word of encouragement to someone. And of course, received back so much more encouragement. In giving we will receive!

Please continue to pray for Junmar and Indin as they still struggle with their terrible loss. We are reaching out to them but we know that these times are difficult and they need to deal with this on their own but it’s hard and they need some real encouragement.

Thank you very much for praying for us. May God bless you all in these difficult times?

Love

Rossouw-clan
