Good day everyone
Sorry for last Monday. We were on our way to the
jungle without internet for a while, which was good stuff. This time around I
had our beloved friend Elsa and two other Pinays Charlene and Brenda with us.
They came to visit us and wanted to go bush. Well no need for an excuse to say
hey to my friends and have some fun as well. Elsa is officially now the only
girl who made the whole trip into the jungle, Brea Johnson, you did only half,
need to do it again and she is lots older than you hahaha. My friend and pastor
Din came with me to tell people about the Lord.
It was a good day and we saw a lot of people and could
help lots of them. I even had the opportunity to help a guy who just cut his
foot open with a chainsaw. Right timing as it happened that morning. Of course,
the people got meds and the children some candies as well as wooden toys from
Captain G’s toys. The girls really enjoyed themselves amongst the people, like
true Filipinos. It felt to me that I was back in the mountains of Mindanao
doing this outreach. Having this energy all the time makes us happy.
Elsa is an old friend from way back in Davao days. She
worked with Toinette in Mercy Clinic and we are like family. Having her here
did our hearts good and we could talk about old times as well as new. So nice
to have like-minded people around. Toinette was praying that either Elsa or
Susan will come here and at least one made it. God is good.
Toinette is pretty busy too with a team from Malaysia
here. Sonny, my other Chinese brother, came with a team and we can have great
fellowship over coffee again. Love these guys. Looking forward when we go to
Malaysia soon to hang out with all my brothers and sisters there in church. FGC
Cambodia is moving base as they build a new building on Koresay, where Toinette
is teaching. So there will be a big celebration this week to open the new
building. First we will have a big party here at my home with a real Braai.
Praise the Lord for little Marie. She is the staff of
FGC that was so sick. She finally went to Thailand and they sorted her out and
she is doing much better. Pray for her complete healing.
Please pray for Ouma Paula as she is struggling with cancer
in her bones. She will be off to Windhoek this week to look for further testing
and treatment. At this time she cannot walk due to pain.
Please pray for missionary friends Etienne and Karin
Minnaar. In her own words: Dear Friends and Family. Etienne was diagnosed
with stage 3 advanced cancer of his esophagus...... Our hearts are broken, we
are devastated. He is in the theatre right now where they are putting in a port
for his chemotherapy starting on Monday. We need a prayer army standing in for
us. I felt the picture of Moses standing at the battle with his brother and
sister holding up his arms. I know Etienne will stand.... but we need to hold
his arms up in prayer. God will fight this battle for him!
Lots of stuff happening these 2 weeks. Praise God He
is always good and He always delivers.
Love to all
Rossouw-clan
