Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 19 August 2024

Good day to all of you

Amid all the things happening around us, good and bad, we are praising God for His goodness every day. How could we ever do this without Him? We just saw it this week when we got the terrible news that made things turn around in our minds and souls again. But in all of this God is good and His timing is always good.

Toinette will be on a flight back to Namibia on Sunday 25th August to go and help with her mum. Ouma Paula, who has bone cancer, fell and broke her leg. Currently, she is in hospital and they are going to operate on her tomorrow. Please pray for Ouma Paula as she has severe pain. Pray for the doctors to fix the leg so that Ouma can get treatment for her pain. Praise God for Toinette’s brothers that are there to help while waiting for Toinette. Not so sure how long she will be there but we will keep you informed, try to catch up with her while she is in Windhoek.

In the meantime, we are preparing for Anton to move to Malaysia. We are just waiting for his Study visa to be approved and then things will speed up. If he gets his visa, his classes begin on 1 November. Continue to pray with us for approval of his visa.

News from Toinette:

We are so excited to share with you how God has worked this past week. A team, led by our Brother Sonny from Full Gospel Church in Johor Baru visited this past week. They spent Friday teaching all the classes at the Acts center and inviting the students to join on Sunday. We have asked your prayer specifically for the teenage students in Twans' class. And this last Sunday, a group came to the Kids' program in the morning and even stayed for the church service led by the team in the afternoon. 1 of them, Sara, accepted the Lord as her Savior. One by one God is calling them into His Kingdom. Please continue to pray for Sara, Socheat, Sopharra, KimSur, Khemera and Phally.

Over all these years on the mission field, I've thought many times God called us to serve more for our own sake than for the sake of others. When we left home we were so excited to go and change the world, but instead, we needed and still need 'changing", dying to the self, trusting, loving, and serving our God. The team's visit strengthened and encouraged us to persevere in faith.

Please pray:

Please pray for our friends Roger and Deb. His father is very ill and he is on his way to the Philippines today. Pray for safe travels as it is pretty far he needs to travel to be with his dad.

Marie is still struggling with being ill and she is weak. She went to Thailand but still is not well. Currently, she is in Phnom Penh. Pray that she can see another doctor.

Pray for Ouma Paula as she is in severe pain.

Pray for Toinette’s travel to see her mum.

Thank you for standing with us all at this time.

Love

Rossouw-clan
