Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 22 July 2024

Good evening all of you

What a great week we had. Anton and I went swimming and after that, it is tradition to go and eat a local sandwich and coffee at our fav shop near the river. We met an English guy and invited him to sit with us and we started to talk. Turned out that he was so interested in Christianity as his upbringing had nothing religious in it. He is currently living in Hanoi and attends the Catholic church. We had such a great time telling him about our wonderful God and encourage him to read the Bible and find out for himself more about our Lord. His name is Jobe, he said his dad is not religious which is why he put the “e” at the end. Wow, a man of faith, we shared that with him. We shared coffee and sandwiches similar to the Lord’s Supper. We both left in awe about a real once-in-a-lifetime meeting with someone.

That brings me to tonight’s verse that I want to share with you guys. This last week was a life-changing moment for most of us. I love to look at the news and when the events unfolded in the USA and even the after-effects of it, I was just amazed at how divided all of us became. I am not from the USA, but I think it affects us all. Other horrible events of war all around the globe and the suffering of people can make us so cynical and that is why we need to concentrate on the only thing that makes sense, and that is to listen to the Lord. I am sure things can change if we treat each other with more respect.  So let’s go out there this week and make a difference.

“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”

Toinette is pretty busy with a team that visited last week and today another 2 of the staff from the Philippines came to help here. Lots of things to be organized in an already full program. The new building in the village is nearing the end and they are getting it ready to be occupied soon. As for now, the rain makes progress slow but hopefully, things will be on the go soon. Pray for FGC and all the activities.

I am trying to get more often to Somaat and tend his wounds. He is doing great as his wife is taking good care of him.

Marie is also doing better and seeing her is a real blessing.

Please pray for the application of Anton’s Malaysian Study Visa. All his applications are already done and it is only the visa that stands in his way to go and study in Malaysia.

Thank you for even reading this letter. May the Lord guide you this week.

Love

Rossouw-clan
