Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 3 June 2024

Good evening you all

We got the privilege to have our Chinese brother, Sonny here from Malaysia. He is indeed a brother to us as we have known each other for at least 25 years. Love having him around and get to talk a lot about life and how to live it. This guy got so much wisdom from God and it’s so nice hanging with him, of course over lots of coffee and noodles. It was so nice to be in the small congregation of River of Life. It is always amazing to me that a church can mean so much to someone even if there are many people or just a handful. ROL only has a handful of faithful members. One is Ovaltine. ( with the purple shirt in the middle) He is very sick with liver and kidney problems and can barely walk but he is coming to church. Seeing him reminds me why we are here. We are not here for the masses but for the individual person as well. Please pray for him as life is a daily struggle. The hospital sends him home as they cannot do anything for him anymore.

While in Phnom Pehn, I met up with 2 of my foreign friends who are missionaries there. Both their wives are not with them anymore. The one express to me that things are not good and that they are losing their support and he need to move away as well. The other friend is trying his best to help a small ministry here but the owner is not supporting him and its tuff going. He is an old man already and I feel sorry for him.

Another young Christian Khmer friend of ours in Phnom Pehn left his wife and is not giving any reason for not being with her. Please pray for these couples that we know well, as this is a serious problem.

Please pray for one of FGC’s staff, Mary. She has been in the hospital for a while now due to puss in the lungs. They inserted a pipe to drain the puss. As usual, nobody knows what is wrong with her and they send her home. Please pray for her as she recuperates at home.

My friend Quinton is also at home. Thanks for praying for him, he still has a long way to go. Pray for him as this is a really frustrating time when he is not allowed to do hard work or pick up any heavy stuff due to his open heart surgery.

Please pray for my sister’s son Christiaan who needs his appendix remove. He is in die hospital right now. Not sure when they will do the operation. Pray for safety for this young boy.

I want to share to you this beautiful composition of the word “Listen” in Chinese/ Mandarin. Sonny shared this yesterday with us. I will put a big picture so you can read it yourself. Chinese language consists of many different meanings to make up a word. Beautiful how God made a language like this.

Thank you for praying for us. May this week be a beautiful week for you all and may His love surrounds you all.

Love

Rossouw-clan
