Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 27 May 2024

Good evening you all

We just arrived back from Phnom Pehn where we were for 10 days for Anton to finish his final Year 12 exams. He is a free boy now and we just wait for the results. So for now he wants to do some volunteer work and sort himself out before he can go to Malaysia in November. The plan is to study Creative Multi-Media Design at the Multimedia University in Kuala Lumpur for 2 years. Applications open up in June. Please pray for the whole application process, finances as well as approval for a study visa. There are always extra concerns and requirements because we are from an African country.

Our time in Phnom Pehn was good for us all. We stayed in the flat of a girl that is in the States. . Thank you so much for all your prayers. We were able to meet up with a few people. We celebrated Gideon’s 21st by going with our Phnom Penh family for his favorite: Dumplings. Being with a close friend made it a bit easier. We also could visit with some long-time friends of ours and share their lives.  Curtis (who joins me sometimes on outreaches to share the gospel) and Brea have a new baby girl and it was special to spend some time with this couple and their 2 daughters. A good long visit with our “adopter daughter” Kathrine. Gideon told us many years ago to adopt her as our daughter.  Please pray for her. She runs a home for children at risk and face many challenges each day.

A short testimony from the students in Kouk Resay. Twans shares how she and a small group of students were busy decorating their classroom walls the other day. While cutting the shapes, one of them asked her “Teacher, why did you come to my country?” Twans answered, “Because Jesus asked me to come and share His love to the Cambodian people.” She then got all excited and said Jesus really loves me because when I asked teacher Indin (Our Filipino staff) the same question she also said the same as Teacher Toinette.  This girl who asked the question has joined the Joshua Generation program this year on Sunday mornings and is learning all about Jesus. She and her friend, even stay after the children's program and join the adult service in the afternoon, joining the worship team and even giving testimony during the service.

The thing is, she is one of our smartest students in the ACTS program. And her friend, who is falling in love with Jesus as well, is one of our slowest students in the program. Isn’t it just great, literally the smartest and the slowest, both of the same importance in the Kingdom of God? Both worshipping God. I just love it.

May God bless you all in this week coming.

Love

Rossouw-clan
