Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 8 May 2023

Good Evening dear family and friends,

Just returned home traveling back from Phnom Penh today. It was good to be with Twans and Anton. I had a bad cough and cold last week but felt good enough to travel by Friday so took the bus down to them.  Hard to describe Phnom Penh traffic maybe just best to say "  up close and personal" all the time and add into that April/May heat!   Sad to say I passed my cold onto Anton. Please pray that he would be ok by Tuesday afternoon for his Computer Science exam.

Ah Key, the missionary who pastors the  Chinese church where we stay, invited me to share on Sunday. I shared from Luke 14 on "The cost of being a Disciple".   It was very special for me and Twans to be with the members (they all come from China). Please pray for this church, the members, and their pastor Ah Key.  We ate lunch together. The main dish - Chicken Feet !!  None of the members spoke any English so we communicated in Khmer! Not that our or their Khmer was great but we understood each other.

We are reading Jacky Pullinger's book "Chasing the Dragon" in the evenings together with Anton. She was a missionary to China in the 1960s witnessing Heroin addicts in the Walled City. Her faith and her boldness to share the gospel are an inspiration to us. " Here in Cambodia, we've noticed that if you ask young Christians if they really believe in Jesus, they will answer by giving you a percentage for example I believe only 40%, or for those who follow Jesus a bit longer 90%.  At least they are honest, but we pray that they will come to know Jesus personally 100%, and yes that we would follow Him 100%.

Love
