Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 24 April 2023

The Rossouw clan arrived here in Phnom Pehn and do not move out of their aircon room, it is like a luxury that we do not have. We are here because Anton starts his exams in 2 days. I came down for support but will be back home in 2 days. Please pray for Toinette and Anton to stay here while Anton needs to review and writes his exams. They will stay for 2 weeks before they can come home.

The usual gang from Water of Life, Long, Curtis, and Kimloon joined me on outreach on the 20th into the jungle. In my life, I was not as hot as that day. Sleeping in the night was almost impossible but we survive the whole trip. My poor trusty Daelim took the brunt this time and broke down 3 times. Luckily we know how to fix these machines even in the middle of the jungle.

It was really nice having the boys with me as they are talking to people and praying for people while I am looking at some medical stuff. They also brought some balloons and sweets which makes the children very happy. We could sit down and spend time praying for certain people and that made it really special. Please pray with us for our friends in Rum Jopon as they are experiencing continued illnesses and tiredness. They waited for us to come and then they went to Kampong Tom to go for a check-up to look after their health.

Times are tough in the jungle as people need to work really hard in this heat. People do not drink enough water and do not have enough food to eat to say the healthy option. Our host in Som Poom, our beloved anti, is struggling with kidney and multiple organ problems at this time. People work themselves till they cannot anymore in order to provide for their families. They do not have the luxury to relax or take a day off. No work no pay or food.

I was asking a friend where her mum was and was shocked to learn that she left the previous day to go and buy some painkillers for her teeth. They need to go on the bike for a few hours to the nearest clinic and pay the doctor to give them some Panadol and drive back again. That makes me feel sad as I am not able to go more often and bring them some medicines.

Thank you very much for praying for Heang in the hospital. He is doing much better and soon will go home to get back his strength. Pray that this time he will listen to good advice and stop drinking and look after his health.

Please stay in contact, we would love to hear from you all.

Love

Rossouw-clan
