Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 9 January 2023

Good evening all you lovely people.

Never thought that this New Year will kick off with a bang but it did. Thank you to everyone that prayed for Noah. When we came back from Thailand she was not doing well. My friend Julius did a fine job looking after her but cancer finally caught up to her. This whole week she was not moving much as Friedhelm and I helped her. We could see that she is on the last stretch of her life.

Saturday morning we went to her again and it was as if she waited for us to come. After a short time with her, she went into shock and was breathing very slowly. We could get hold of my dear friend Bear that knows her so well. He arranged for her to get to the temple close by and be cared for by the ladies there. She quietly passed away in the afternoon.  Finally, she was free from this terrible place to call home.

The whole week we prayed that the Lord would be merciful and take her home. She knew Jesus as she heard about Him from various people. She was even baptized a while ago. So we are sure that she is with Jesus now. It was hard for Toinette and me to see her go as it reminds us of Gideon. We are coming to terms with the terrible loss. We are so glad that we could help this little person.

In the eyes of the world, she was nothing, living on the street, rejected by her family, abused by men on the street, and enduring a really hard life on the street. In spite of all this, she always was smiling and talking about her past as if she was longing back to it. She died without her blood family with her but in Christ, she had such a big family. All the prayers that went up for her during this time we were involved with her were just amazing. It was such an encouragement for all the people that know about her. Like my one friend said: ”we got so used to hearing from her.”

Toinette shared how one little girl came running to her and hugged her after she was away for 3 weeks. She was so touched by these little ones that love to come and get an education on a different level. Showing love to these little ones is precious and they really enjoy it as well. Pray for FGC as they continue to teach these children and influence them for the better.
