Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 16 January 2023

Good evening you all

Seems to me that Mondays are coming so fast these days. The hot season is here and we start sweating it out in the middle of the day. The winder month consisting of 3 days is over and we are looking forward to some heat hahaha.

Anton and I went with our friend Mark on an adventure across the big Tonle Sap Lake. It took us 2 hours to get to the place where he anchored the school he build for the small community. Pretty impressive if you see where this place is located. The whole school was built on dry land and reassembled in the path of the flood waters and towed all the way across the lake. Soon the water will dry up so much that it will be only mud slush instead of water and then the whole village needs to move again. The people here literally move with the seasons. All their houses are on the water.

Listening to Mark explain to us how faithful the Lord is, makes us think. Why would someone make such an effort to come and help the people here on this remote part of the lake?? The small children are helping to cut fish and get an income to pay loans and therefore the children don’t go to school. Please pray for this project, that the children would join the school.

Feedback from Twans: It was such a joy to see all the small children at the Mighty Kids program at the River of Life fellowship in the village yesterday. Sopheak (grade 11 student sponsored by the FGC Community Link) was sharing the story of Jesus and the 2 sinners on the cross next to Him with the children. We are so thankful for each child coming to the ACTS classes during the week and then joining this program faithfully and seeing how they grow in their knowledge and love for Jesus. I was saddened though, as I noticed that not one of the teenagers in my weekly classes is joining the teenage group on Sundays. Please pray for my teenage students, that they would join on Sundays and come to faith in Jesus, and pray that their families would allow them to attend on Sundays.

Love
