Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 2 January 2023

Good evening all of you beautiful people.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you. People from the South still are on holiday but we here in the East is full swing work again. Not a big deal about New Year as we have 3 new years to work through………

We celebrated Christmas on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. What a beautiful place to be. We first met up with our brother Friedhelm in Chang Mai and had excellent coffee and fellowship together. From there we went to the island and met up with a new friend Bambi from SA. My brother Jean booked us a place in a hotel literally on the ocean. Our days were spent lazy around and fellowship with our new friend, riding bikes around and over the mountains, and of course just enjoying the sea. I can say now that we are truly rested.

Life unfortunately does not stand still while you are away. My friend Julius took care of Noah while we were away. She is not doing well. Her wound is as big as cancer spread now uncontrollably. It was a blessing that he could help me yesterday so we could get her cleaned up and get rid of all the maggots. In my life, I did not see so many maggots in a wound. She is very weak and basically just lays down.

It is very encouraging to see that the people across the road are looking after her. Last night it was cold and it started to rain as well. This morning when I came there, they took her under the shelter and gave her a big blanket to sleep on.  We are sure that her days are numbered now and the only prayer we got for her is that the Lord will be merciful and take her home. Please pray with us for Noah not to have any pain and that the Lord will grant her some relief.

Please pray with us for Abraham’s older sister. He wrote: My eldest sister Patricia (60+) had brain 6 seizure today already. She is currently in hospital fighting it out. They had CT scans done on her and adhering medicine to stop this seizure. Value your prayers.

After World War II German students volunteered to help rebuild a cathedral in England, one of many casualties of the Luftwaffe bombings. As the work progressed, debate broke out on how best to restore a large statue of Jesus with His arms outstretched and bearing the familiar inscription, ‘Come unto Me’. Careful patching could repair all damage to the statue except for Christ’s hands, which had been destroyed by bomb fragments. Should they attempt the delicate task of reshaping those hands? The workers reached a decision that still stands today. The statue of Jesus has no hands, and the inscription now reads, ‘Christ has no hands but ours’.
