Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 7 November 2022

 Good Evening

It is Water Festival here in our part of the world. Our town is bursting at the seams with all the Phnom Penh visitors. Good to see people in restaurants and businesses booming again after Covid.

Spent time in Psalm 63 yesterday and was encouraged to see how in the first few verses, David “seeks”, “thirsts” and “hunger” but then later we read ‘” seen You”, “beheld” and “fully satisfied”. The speaker reminded us of Hudson Taylor, who had to leave China due to sickness and then received all the reports of fellow missionaries and local friends losing their lives. He shares how he could not read the Bible, he could not even pray but he said he will still trust in the Lord. This really ministered to me and Mordegai, as we struggle in our grief but are reminded to continue thirsting, seeking, and trusting Our Lord.

This past month we’ve been teaching the students in the village about “Sharing is Caring” during Values Class. We looked at the different ways we could share and then I challenged them to do something caring for someone in their family or neighborhood. In the last lesson, the students all brought a meal to share, and then the older ones had to give feedback on what they did. It was very special. Everyone brought something to eat ( the majority of our students are very poor, poor as in having to go fish before or after class for small fish or frogs for dinner). It is always so humbling to see how generously they share the little they have. One student shared how he made his grandmother’s favorite meal and gave it to her. His grandmother asked him why he has done this because he has never done something like this. He then said how he “felt nervous and touched in his heart” and explained to his grandma how the teacher taught them about sharing and caring.

More students from the Acts program are joining the Sunday Mighty Kids program at the River of Life Fellowship. Please continue to pray that they would meet Jesus and follow Him.

My brother, Quintin, is coming to visit us from the 12
th. He has a bad cough and cold at the moment. Please pray that he would be well enough to travel by Thursday. We are so looking forward to his visit. Please pray for his health and protection as well while he is here with us.

Thank you for praying for Anton. A-level Geography is a challenge. He enjoys computer science very much.

Love
