We are so blessed this time with Quinton, Toinette’s brother, visiting us. We just came back from outreach with our good friend Samai in Ratanakiri. We went to a new church in Chou village, Ou Ya Daw district about 20km from Vietnam. Do not even try and find it on Google maps.
Anton came with us and he had to give out some worm meds, some toy cars, and some blankets. Captain G’s toys were given big smiles to the children as everyone there got a small car. They just love it. We also could give beautiful blankets from Wrap with Love inc. in Australia. What a perfect gift in these cold months up North. We gave a blanket to each mum with a baby. We cannot understand what it means to sleep cold without enough blankets at the night. Yes, Cambodia gets cold too.
To see the tribal people so happy when you help them is just a heartwarming experience. Quinton was in charge of taking blood pressure and could visit with everyone. If the people are not afraid of the machine they are afraid of the big white guy, but he is a big teddy bear and everyone just loved him for calming them down. At the end of the day, we could help a lot of people and could even stop on the way back to visit another church that we visited long ago. The elders of the church were so happy to see us and we could share medicine and the rest of the blankets to them.
It always blesses my heart to go out with my friend Samai. Together with his small team in Ratanakiri, all the work is done with such big love from the Lord that we can see it on the faces of the people. Continue to pray for the tribal people as they seek the Lord.
Please pray:
My sister’s husband Peter needs to get a double hip replacement on the 28th of November. Not really sure what is wrong but the ball in the hip is deteriorating really fast and they need to replace it. He is only 41 years old. Please pray for Elizma as she needs to deal with this huge burden at this time. Will keep you posted.
Continue to keep Noah in your prayers as her wound is becoming a really bad one. We will go there again tomorrow as we could not see her for 4 days.
We stopped to eat lunch on the way to the Ratanakiri at an old friend’s little restaurant. The lady sat down and ask me how we are doing as she did not see us in such a long time. I shared with her what happened to Gideon and she asked me when this happened. I told her that it happened on the 22nd of September 2021 and she gasp for air and told me this horrible story. She was 9 months pregnant and got Covid and lost her baby on the 23rd of September 2021. With tears in her eyes, she shared her experience with us all. She said she spent $10 000 on hospital costs alone. Wow for locals that means a lot of money. In a few words, we could encourage each other with our losses. God is always good at putting people on our way.
Love to you all
