Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 3 October 2022

I started to feel bad already last Sunday. Suzaan was still here and we still had some places to go. Bite the bullet and spend the day with her. Then things progressed to bad fevers and cold sweats with severe muscle pains. Classic Dengue. Got convinced by a friend that it might be Typhoid and took some tabs for it. For 3 days I was miserable as can be, and then a sudden break. But still feeling bad. Loads of blood tests later we were back at Dengue. I end up in the hospital due to a very low platelet count and do not want to mess with this. One night in hospital saw my count jump from 40-72, wow it was time to go home. This was yesterday.

I feel so much better thanks to all you praying. Still very weak but just praise the Lord for healing me once again. I felt so close to Gideon this time around as the memories just came flooding in as we just commemorate his 1st year with the Lord. People, life is short, make sure what side you are on, and do it quick.

Angela from FGC Community Link took a tumble with her bike into a rice field and got hurt pretty badly. They fixed her up but now they need to operate and put a plate in her leg as she is experiencing extreme pain. Please pray that her operation will be successful and that her recovery will be smooth.

Please pray for another missionary friend down in Mexico, Byron Pirolo. He writes; ”Please pray for my 34 year old son Brandon.  I am flying to Spokane early Monday morning as he will have brain surgery to remove a 5.7 centimeter tumor. Please pray it is benign.””

Please pray for Andrea and Quinton Calitz. (Toinette’s brother) Andrea’s mum and brother were in the hospital with bad heart problems. Ouma is out again but her brother is still there. They are going through a really tough time now.

Once again we must stand humbly before you all and thank the Lord to provide us with such good friends. Being in the hospital was a blast with people coming around and visiting. After all these years we still believe that the Lord provides a family for you where He places you.

Love
