Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 5 September 2022

Dear family and friends,

Read James 1:2-12 this morning, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds..." and thought long and hard if ever I saw someone who considered trials "pure joy". Nope, not really. But then we read further, "... because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." And yes, I can think of so many encouraging examples of those who persevered and how God was glorified because of it. God promises us wisdom for such times and He provides what we need.

Many of you asked how is Twans and what has she been doing, so tonight it's her turn.  It is much easier to tell what we've been doing than tell how we've been doing, but we'll try.
I am going into the village every day during the week to one of the outreach points of FGC Community Link. We teach primary and secondary school children English, Maths, and Values. Our hearts are to provide a safe place for children to come and be touched by the love of Jesus. Many of the children then join the Children's Ministry on Sundays at the River of Life fellowship right next to the classroom. We also do home visitation to build relationships with their families. It is a blessing to see how God changes so many of them from shy, insecure students to confident and eager-to-learn children.
Now for the how are we doing part: It's been almost a year since our Gideon was ripped away from us. The pain doesn't subside, it just grows deeper still. We are humbled by so many of you always asking how we are and praying for us to persevere and not lose heart.

Please pray as we have passport and visa issues again. Our visas cannot be renewed for long as our passports expire next year in July. So we have to renew passports etc before we can apply for a visa for Thailand as well. Hoping to join Mordegai's brother in Thailand for Christmas, but Namibians cannot get visas to Thailand from here easily as well.  Please pray that the processes will go smoothly.

Love
