Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 1 August 2022

All is quiet on the Eastern side of the globe. Lots of rain so we do not mind that. The farmers are happy as they can plant, some areas are severely flooded but Cambodia is flat like a pancake, and it's just a way of life.

Talking to my friend here about the people’s lives, just makes me realize that we really need to pray more for the guys that are in church planting. It is not a task for sissies and it takes time and lots of it. Easy to plant rice churches but that is definitely not the way to go. People here are so desperate for some love and care and that makes it easy in a sense by just building relationships with them. My friend also tells me about all the personal issues people are struggling with now, like divorce. Before this was not the thing to do but today it is easy with new rules and better court system. He is currently reaching out to a neighbor that is in the process of a divorce.

We can see more problems in the news lately, like crime and even suicide which was almost unheard of a few years ago. Let’s pray for a nation that really needs the love of Jesus like never before. My friend John and his friends are working hard in Kampong Tom province and planting small home groups wherever they go. People are hungry for the truth. I will go there in 2 days to help with some medical outreach.

Please continue to pray for our friend in the Philippines. A letter from a friend: “”S”” is better than before - at least she can walk gamay already... We tried to walk outside at least 15-20 mtrs, then back.. salamat kaayo sa mga pag-ampo....  She said thanks for the prayers.

Noah greeted me with a strong smell this morning and I really had to hold it together this morning. The wound was nice and ripe, ugghh. Well, she is doing well and talking a lot, just complains about her arm is swollen. Von Ven is doing great and seems that I work myself out of a job. His daughter is taking such good care of him and she did the dressing just perfect.

In our little reading time with Anton, we are busy now with the book,: The Bible Jesus read by Philip Yancey. We are busy with Job. Wow, it’s a book that is surely challenging you on all fronts. It is most properly the book that is being used most to address suffering. I really marvel at the absolute Faith that Job had in believing in God. Can we be like this in these days?? Maybe we need to get back to basics and get our faith in God right before we do anything else.

William Safire says about Job,”” I started my journey into this book with doubt in my faith and have come out with faith in my doubt.””

Love you all
