Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 25 July 2022

Wow, time flies towards the end of the year. I am busy making some wooden angels for Christmas. Does anybody want some?? Can hardly believe that it’s almost a year since Gideon left us to be with Jesus!! For the first time in the year, we took the dogs for a walk next to Baray Lake. It was bittersweet as we long for Gideon who would go for a swim with the dogs. Needless to say that it turned out to be a real good time for us 3.

We had a wonderfully blessed time with our good friends Grace and Xerxes Casas, all the way from the Philippines. We worked closely together when we were there. Still love these guys because they are the real deal. We visited around our kitchen table till late and could talk about old and new times. Such humble people and the way they approach life. I took them around to see Noah and Von Ven. It was so nice to do some ministry together again after all these years. We really treasure their friendship.

Noah is just herself again and she is chatting away today. How she is coping with all of this is just a miracle to me. I still enjoy my time with her in the mornings and literally count my blessings when I go there.

Von Ven is well-taken care of. I asked his granddaughter if she know Jesus and she said, ”Yes””. She said that they attend the ICF church and learn about Jesus. I can see the change in them as they really take such good care of Von. Today, he hold my hand when I prayed for him and that makes me really happy. For a person that does not have a lot of options, he is doing so great. Continue to pray for him.

There are a lot of sick people around because of Dengue fever, Chikungunya, and of course Covid. Monkeypox made its landfall here just 2 days ago, from a Nigerian who fled Thailand, and everyone is on high alert for this disease from Africa. As you know, the WHO declared it now a Global emergency. “”Monkeypox is a rare disease caused by infection with the monkeypox virus. Monkeypox virus is part of the same family of viruses as variola virus, the virus that causes smallpox. Monkeypox symptoms are similar to smallpox symptoms but milder, and monkeypox is rarely fatal. Monkeypox is not related to chickenpox.””

Just wonder when all these pests will stop???

Thank you very much for praying for us all. We are so privileged to have so many people that pray for us.

Love to you all
