Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 8 August 2022

Good evening from a very wet Cambodia.

One thing I learned again this week, is the way that some local pastors make contact with people in the most remote places ever. While on my bike, I was wondering how in the world they got here. I could not even find myself on Google maps. It just shows that if you are on fire for the Lord, He will make a way for you to reach even the far corners of Cambodia, by means necessary.

John took Heang and me with him to 2 of his little house churches. The first place we visited took us 2 hours by bike into the interior, according to Google maps it's a dense forest but now there are only Cashew trees. They use one house and people came from afar to visit for church and for free medicines. It was just relaxing to see people sing together and worship the Lord. It was nice to clean some really bad ears and listen to some healthy lungs. People here in remote areas are normally healthy.

We moved to our 2nd outreach and it’s near a big road and a small town. First things first and they had church before medical. The difference here is that more people are sick with High blood pressure here near town. Seems that people’s diet is not the same and living in a community with lots of people around seems to have an effect on health. Just an observation.

It was really nice to work again with pastors that I met many years ago. I can see their desire to spread the Gospel more than ever. We took a shortcut to Heang’s house via a huge rubber plantation. It was already late when I arrived again on the highway. Pray with us for these pastors that are working hard, riding the whole day, and doing what we did is exhausted, to say the least.

Met up with Noah again today after not being there for a few days and was reminded, why I want to clean it daily.  Ripe is an overstatement. It is raining every day now and I asked Bear to ask the contractor of the road if we cannot build something better to keep Noah out of the rain.

Toinette is asking to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit while they are visiting the homes of the students.

Pray for Louis as he is leading a small Youth group here in our home, every Thursday. He is from Windhoek and works here as a teacher but wants to give back to the youth here. The old people now need to listen to very lively gospel music every week, hahaha. We are so happy that Anton can join and enjoy time with other teenagers.

Thank you once again for praying for us. May the Lord bless you all this week to come.

Love

Rossouw-clan
