Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night Prayers 21 March 2022

Good evening dear family and friends,

During the weekly bible study with our staff last Friday one thought stood out:  "If our focus is on ourselves, we will be limited.  If we focus on anyone or anything, they will all change. Putting our focus on Jesus is most reliable and meaningful"( 321 Booklet)  Hopefully we can all continue to ask where has the focus become more on me.

We had a bit of a rough week emotionally. It all feels a little bit lighter after just giving in and crying our hearts out. Thank you to all of you for continuing to pray for us for comfort and peace. We had friends over for dinner this Saturday and also a young man from Namibia who came over to teach English. Realized he is the first person now in our lives who hasn't met Gideon and it was another step in the whole grieving process. Mordegai gave Gideon's motorbike to use and it was bittersweet to see another very tall boy on the motorbike.

Please continue to pray for the River of Life fellowship at the KoukResay center. Last Sunday more than 80 kids came to learn about Jesus. Pray for protection for each child, that the seeds will fall on fertile ground and grow. Pray for spiritual breakthrough in this area, for the church members that stopped coming to return. One member, Bong Sang, is turning blind. Her family told her they would not help her if she continues to follow Jesus.  Some of our high school students who attended the Mighty Kids program before covid now have not returned. Pray for opportunities to meet and invite them back.

Praise Report: For the past 3 years we've been concerned and asked prayer for Phark. He was one of Twan's students who accepted the Lord but stopped attending church when he started to work. Another student told Twans this week, that Phark is still following Jesus, he has a Christian girlfriend now as well. Thank the Lord for His continued good work in this young man's life.

Noah is not doing well. She doesn't want to eat and is becoming very weak. Some days she doesn't want Mordegai to clean the wound. This morning she looked a bit better, she had a bath and was chatting again. We are also thankful because Mordegai could find some topical lidocaine and the wound cleaning was not so painful. Thank you for continuing to pray for her.

Mordegai is planning an outreach to Ratanakiri from this Friday to Monday. Please pray for wisdom and protection during travel as well as for each person they can help. Mordegai and  Semay will go to a far village near the border of Vietnam. Pray for good relationships to be build and for opportunities to share about Jesus.

Love to you all

Rossouw-clan
