Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 15 March 2021

Good evening from a nice and hot/humid/extremely dusty Siem Reap. We know it is soon then the rain will be here. Can see the clouds building every day and that reminds me of home in Namibia. The farmers will drive to a small hill near our town and watch the clouds. It continues like that for weeks at an end and then finally the rain comes or not, like a lot of years without it. Here in Asia, we get rain and lots of it in the seasonal monsoon time. They expect the rain to be sooner this year, let’s see. Well in the meantime you sweat under a fan, nice!! Aren’t we familiar with that Pietlieb??

Between riding the school car in the mornings and afternoons, cleaning Noah’s wound and making children's toys, I am pretty busy. We are not allowed to have any gatherings of any sort due to the sharp increase in Covid cases. Some Chinese girls got out of quarantine and infected a bunch of people that started a chain reaction. We are going through what you guys had gone through last year, while we had almost no cases. The government is trying its best to contain this and lots of travel bans and restrictions are in place. We even get fined now for not wearing a mask in public places, not sure what that means but we wear masks when we enter any shop or market.

We, as foreigners can get the vaccine and even choose between 2 types, and that for free. The government is really helping everyone around. I feel quite confident that this battle will be won at the end of the day. If all of us just play our little part. A missionary friend of mine was out in one of the Northern provinces and he and his team were not welcomed by villagers. So we rather stay home. Please continue to pray for people here and the rest of the world that is still broken because of this virus. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50825086/pm-bans-public-gathering-nationwide-wedding-and-ritual-included/

I bought Noah a small wooden bed and she made herself a small home now. Every morning I spend with her is like a breeze of fresh air for her. She is talking a lot and it seems that she is in good spirits these days. With the help of good friends, that care, we can reach out to her in a loving way. Continue to pray for her as her wound is still pretty big. Not sure about any growth yet, but we believe we have a healing Father.

Please pray for a very good friend back home that goes through the trauma of a divorce. These are people that we know very well and it is a shock that things like this happen after being married for a very long time.

A good friend Manus Olivier past away recently and his life and testimony to others was indeed an inspiration to us all. He surely will be missed, next time we go home. Continue to pray for his family.

Please pray for our friend Judy Johnson.

MARCH 10, 2021 by Ann Moberg, Organizer

First of all, I want to thank all of you for the prayers you have been so diligent in sending to our Father. I haven’t written for a while, but I know many of you are FB friends with Judy and have been updated as to how she is doing physically. She will be starting a new Chemo drug in a couple of weeks, and we are praying that it will attack the cancer cells. Judy continues to have a lot of pain (feet, knee, hip, back) and is really having a hard time walking. Her skin is peeling off and fingernails have fallen off.

So, there is an Urgent need: A NEW SHOWER

As I write this her bathroom has been gutted and new plumbing, walls and tiles will go in and make a walk-in shower that will be big enough to wheel in a wheelchair if ever needed in the future. They have stepped out in faith counting on God to provide through his people once again. Fortunately, they have a home to stay in right now that is meeting all of their needs including laundry on the main floor. (Added blessing) I know some of you have given a lot. Some of you have given all that you can. But for those of you who could give more or share this on social media or as an email I know it will make a difference. The key as always is PRAY! PRAY! PRAY!

We praise God that our friend Ing could help us to get Gideon’s school books from Australia. During these Covid times, the people could not send it but she was able to use her small business to get us the books.

Thank you for praying for us all. We know that this is a crazy time we live in but we thank God that He always helps us out whenever we need it.

Love

Rossouw-clan
