Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 8 March 2021

 Dear Family and Friends,

The month of April is the most dreaded month herein Cambodia. Missionaries that have been here for a few years are always discussing which year the heat in April was the worst. This past week the heat started building. You know April is coming when you stand under the cold shower for a while longer than needed just to cool down a bit.

Mordegai, Matt, and Isaack continue to visit Miss Noak daily, dressing her wound. The wound is very deep and healing very slowly. Please pray for her, for healing, more understanding, and to be set free, especially spiritually. We are putting up a small tarp as it will be rainy season soon so that she would have some shelter. She enjoys it when Mordegai brings the children or Toinette with her. She seems more relaxed and open as she gets to know us better.

Toinette and the FGC Community Link team continue to meet with the students every afternoon teaching English. The staff does frequent home visitations so that we would also build relationships with the parents and understand our students better. Most of the parents are hardworking and very poor.  The parents are so thankful for our efforts in helping their children. Some however have given up hope and are drinking or gambling away the little income they have.

We try to do some fun activities as well. Most of the students don't have cellphones or tv at home. They love "story time". After reading the story we "act" it out. Both students and teachers laugh so much, that they complain of stomach pain afterward.

Toinette put soap out for them to wash their hands before class. This is pure luxury for them. It is humbling to see how they enjoy using the soap. Some of them will go back and wash their hands again and then start lathering even their arms.

Please continue with this outreach. Pray for favor, that parents will allow their children to come and study. Please pray for wisdom for the teachers and that the children will see and experience the love of Jesus through us. On Sundays, there are between 60-80 children coming for the Mighty Kids program. Praise God!

Thank you for all the prayer for Twans' pancreatitis. It is much better now with only dull pain. We continue to pray for healing. Anton has a bad ear infection and Gideon slight fever.

Mordegai had to cancel his outreach to the province this week as John's mother is still in hospital and there is also a rise in Covid numbers in Phnom Penh and other provinces so they are not encouraging travel in these provinces.

Love
