Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 03 Feb.2020

Good evening or morning depends on where you from in the world. Here in Siem Reap it’s around 6.30 pm and it is starting to cool down. We have such nice weather these days and that makes life so much easier. In the nights it’s still nice and cold and you do not really need a fan, but because of the mozzies, we cannot switch it off. So the next best thing is a blanket and laying close to your wife or husband if you have one available hahaha. Just joking.
Everybody in this part of the world is so dead serious that a joke does not get far. This Corolla virus, sorry Coronavirus makes people really afraid and even here in the Kingdom people tend to follow the rest of the world. A small bottle of hand sanitizer that costs about $3 now will cost you $20 and masks if you get them to cost $15 a packet that normally costs $3. Business is booming in certain areas and others it’s slowing down severely. Here they are only worried about the tourist that coming or not, so besides that, nothing else matters. A statement by die Department of Health says that it’s too hot for the virus to stay here, well so Namibians, I think you are in the clear……The media is enjoying this all over the news and you can only sit in awe and read fake news or move on.
The reality is that here there are so many viruses and bad illnesses that another virus like the Coronavirus needs to stand in line to earn the first spot. A report is saying that in the airport's nothing serious about screening is been done. Poor people are going there normal daily lives as if nothing happens. There is work to be done and if you do not work you do not get money. We are so bombarded by calamities around the world these days that it will not help us to be fearful but rather to put our eyes upon Jesus and move ahead. If we read the Bible we can see that these things are foretold in the days to come, so be encouraged in the fact that you know Christ and that His time is His time. Do not think that the world is going to end tomorrow because we do not know the time when it is going to happen. God is in control even if it does not look like it.

School this week was a blast with the kids putting on different styles every day and then they had a sports day at the end of the week. Anton really enjoyed himself. School for him is now starting to get serious with more work to do.
Heang’s brother went to the doctor but they only did a scan and told him to come back when the hand is not swollen anymore. So how long that will take, I am not sure. Sometimes it's better not to interfere with these doctors because the things they do are absolutely mind-boggling.
Please pray for Apo. His wounds are not doing better even if we use the Ozone every day. Pray that his deep wounds will start growing back. He has another pretty bad sore on the other hip as well so making turning a bit difficult.
I will be on my way tomorrow to Stung Treng and Ratanakiri. Looking forward to spending some time with my good friend Samai and some tribal people and food. It’s a lot of driving so please pray for safety on the roads and open hearts at the churches we will visit. Pray for Toinette and the boys that will be here in Siem Reap.
Toinette is pretty busy doing 2 online courses and teaching as well. I still catch her playing her favorite game on the computer, so I guess it’s not that bad. Not many students are coming for a class in the afternoons due to the schools that have more extra classes. This is a really good tool to teach children some English and invest in their lives. Pray for all the staff of FGC to be committed to their work and passion.

Thank you for praying for us, may the Lord bless you all this week to come.
Love
Rossouw-clan.
