Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 9 September 2019

Had to climb on the roof to try and fix some leaking problem. Found it and went straight to work. Well, the roof gave way under my extreme weight hahaha, Thank God for a concrete roof underneath the roof, otherwise I would have landed very hard 3m down. So a small job ended up into a big one but got it fixed in the end. Still leaking as the roof is not build good ugghh but at least I fixed some other leaks, haha. Typical to Asian style, temporary permanent. Rain comes to us every day and I so wish I could send some rain down South.

Up in Stung Treng the Mekong and Sekong rivers already burst their banks and the town is busy flooding. It is good and bad. The Mekong need to come down hard in order for the Tonlesap River to be push against its flow and fill up the Tonlesap Lake. It’s necessary for water to come in for the dry season otherwise farmers do not have enough water to plant rice. It also flood the planes and bring it good soil with it. As I type a big storm is brewing outside. As a little boy back home I can remember how we looked forward to the first rains to fall after a long drought. PietLieb you will know about that!!

Today I drove a team from Malaysia around the villages where some of the Acts students live. The beauty of these places are really something. The simplicity of their lifestyle mixed with rice fields and their small little gardens makes this place a beauty far reach from people in the city. The people so love to be visited by someone else and love to share whatever fruit or snack they have. The team could just visit with the parents and children and ask them some questions. Great time for building relationships.

Please pray for the following people:
My friend Deon Botha is really clinging to life. He is just lying and staring around and now his kidneys is shutting down. It’s a matter of time. Please pray with us for strength for his family to carry him in this time. To suffer like this is no joke to all.

Continue to pray for Annarina as she need to get some chemo. She needs to get more tests and she say that her colon and stomach is clean. They must just get the origin of the cancer. Pray for the doctors for wisdom.

Continue to pray for Quinton and Andrea as they struggle daily with getting better.

Anti Pami Gregorio is writing. She is a dear grandma that come and visit regularly. Pray for healing.:
So tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 4th, is a triple header:
1. Appt. w/medical oncologist 9:30am
2. Chemo for 3+ hrs.
3. ANOTHER SURGERY @ or before 6:30pm to remove the expander and redo the incision/mastectomy yet for a 3rd time! Needless to say your prayers are appreciated so very much for me, Tony, our family who can not be here and all of the medical professionals who will be working on me tomorrow!!

Toinette is asking that we need to pray for Gideon. He had a bad episode this morning and is very emotional at the moment. Please pray for him as school is really pressing hard. He think that he is a burden to us and that God left him as he cannot get himself to stop doing wrong things. Pray with us that we can invest more in him and build him up more positively to accomplish his goals in life. Pray for Toinette as she try to teach him every day.
