Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 14 January 2019

Hey there all. Hope you all survived the December holidays down in the south for SA and Namibian people as well as around the globe. Here in Cambodia we are in the cool season and really enjoy the days that is not so hot. Love this time of the year.
We are blessed with good friends visiting. First David and Seok Wah Yeoh and their family came to visit us. They are Malaysians that we know for donkey years and currently living in Australia. It was fun hanging out with them as well as with sister Angela and Argie as well as Junmar and Indin on a trip to Beng Melea Temple. God is good to preserve our relationships for all these years.

Just today our beloved friend Katy Dyer cane to visit with a good friend. We surely miss the rest of the family but having Katy here makes our up for the rest. We treasure our friendship dearly. We realize that God put certain people over our path in order to love and be family when our families are far away. Truly God will give us new families, friends when we leave home.

Please pray for my friend Deon Botha. He will go to the doctor tomorrow in order to work out how he can eat better. Please pray that they can sort out his problems with eating. He also need to go regular now for CT-scans to monitor all the effected parts in his body. Lets pray for healing in Jesus name. .

We also want to include some of the monthly report Twans gives in for the NGO. Please note that in this report we don’t include Christian activities as this is separate from the NGO, but this will give you an idea of what Twans is doing every day.
Making a Difference this Christmas
December is always the busiest month of the year, with teams visiting and Christmas celebrations. The students and teacher already started preparations in October and we had lots of fun planning, practicing and making decorations. The students had to prepare a song presentation and we practiced every Friday since October. Some of the students mentioned how they really enjoyed singing in a group. The boys were shy and reluctant at first but started to enjoy singing and grew more confident. We had great discussions in class on how to make a difference in our communities as well in our own thought processes. One of our students brought some extra school materials to class the other day and offered to give it to a students who needs it, because he received it as a gift and he wants to share with others.
During making all the decorations themselves, one student commented and said why don’t we just buy some decorations. Toinette asked which had more meaning, buying or making something beautiful yourself from recycled materials. Each student had to bring a piece of bamboo from how to make our Christmas tree, a symbol of how each one of them is important.

We had our Christmas Celebration on the 10th. We were privileged to have Madam Angela and her family with us as well.
Our guest speaker, Miss Abigail from Philippines shared on how each one of us can make a difference wherever we are with practical examples like being friendly, sharing and serving. She presented her message with a power point presentation which held the students’ attention.
Two of our Gr 11 students, Sakhav and Sengheang did a great job as MC’s for the day. They had to write a script of what each will say during the program and then practice it. We hope to train the students in this area so they will be comfortable with speaking in public and over a microphone.

They were eager and exited to join in the exchange gift and it was touching to see how some of them, who barely have enough to eat themselves, have put effort into bringing a gift for someone else. The students had fun during the games and we thank Bong Davy for preparing delicious Khmer Noodles for us for a snack.
We want to also thank Acts KRS for the Christmas Gift to each of the students. They each received a good quality water bottle and it was great seeing how so many of them are now using it every day when cycling to school.

'And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. ' Matthew 19:29
