Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 10 December 2018

Almost forgot to write to you guys. We are supposed to be in the cool season but it’s nice and hot here. Tonight we have nice rain and must say that will make sleeping a bit easier. It cools down the dust and the smell in the air is even better, or may I say it depends where you are, hahaha, some places in Asia can really stink when it rains.

We cannot wait for Suzaan to be back from Vietnam again. She is enjoying herself a lot and we keep updated several times a day. Such a blessing to have her close-by.
I will be out tomorrow to Kampong tom while Toinette and the boys will stay here. Need to go and do some medical outreach to the people in the villages. Pray for Manoj and me as we will travel by bikes into the jungle.

Mordegai’s mum was in the hospital again this week due to shortness of breath. Praise God that they finally sorted her out and she will get a Pacemaker in January, that will help her a lot. Continue to pray for good health as she is released from hospital today. She needs to rest, but she is like me, and we do not know that word!!.

My good friend McKenzie was in the ICU again due to seizures. Not sure you remember but quite a while ago we asked for prayer for this angel. She had a massive brain seizure and miraculously survived. Due to the damaged done, she now gets more seizures. Here is an update on her:
Friends we’d appreciate prayer for my daughter McKenzie Capka in Sacred Heart ICU with a serious seizure. She was seizing so much they put her in a medically induced coma and hope to slowly pull her out of it tomorrow afternoon.  Trusting Jesus with our very special girl... thank you
Hi Friends! Good news: McKenzie Capka is out of ICU and doing much better. She will spend one more day here with the amazing Docs & Nurses at Sacred Heart and if all goes well can come home in the morning. Your prayers are powerful and effective and all your expressions of care and concern appreciated so much. We all feel your love! These seizures are no fun but this girl is strong... God bless you all!

An old friend of ours, Melissa Davey is currently on the Mercy Ship in Guinea. It is incredible following her stories to see people get transformed for the better. Real live changing stories. Follow her on Fb or https://beautyandheartache.blogspot.com/
Melissa Davey is in Conakry, Guinea.
I have not seen facial tumors in my home country like I have seen here in West Africa working with Mercy Ships. It’s always a discussion if these tumors are more prevalent here or is it due to lack of access to affordable treatment and skilled surgical care that they grow larger and more visible here. It is most likely the latter to be true. ..
Isatu has a benign slow growing bone tumor of her lower jaw called an Ameloblastoma. She is a strong and resilient woman who now bravely shows her face to the world sharing her story and returning to care for her family tumor free. ..
The MaxFacs program runs all year long on the ship, and it never grows old to see Isatu and so many others see themselves transformed and tumor free after surgery ️ #iheartwestafrica #globalsurgery #maxillofacialsurgery @ Conakry, Guinea

It is this time of the year with Christmas all over town. All the displays are starting to get in shape and believe you me, these guys pull out all the stops. Sad that nobody or really few, they say Cambodia has 2% Christians, know what Christmas is really about.  Listening to my friend Abraham preaching last night, encourage me to go out with a new zeal and let people know who this Christ is. We life in a world that is so political correct that we totally lose sight of the One that came so we can have freedom from all of this.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58
