Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 20 August 2018

What a week!! Sjoe I am tired of just cleaning and fixing everything to get to normal again. Being away from home makes things worse but we are on top of it now. School started and both the boys are into it. Toinette was away the whole last week on a retreat with FGC Community Link, in Phnom Penh. They had a great time with team bonding. As they started here again, lots of new challenges arise and we ask for wisdom in all the decisions that need to be made.

I will be on the road tomorrow to go to Kampong Tom and into the jungle. Looking forward to get on the bike and go and help people where it’s needed. Pray for safe journey and wisdom as I need to go and talk and ask for help on our little project. In 2 weeks’ time a team from South East Asia Hub, from South Africa will be here and we are looking forward to their visit. Pray for them as they go around Asia and visit different missionaries from SA.

Quintin is awaiting his tests in order to see about his cancer count. Pray for encouragement in this difficult time.
Mordegai’s mum is doing well and we praise the Lord that He saved her once more.
My friend Deon is battling his aftereffects of the chemo and already is working again. They got good pain relievers for him and he say that he can sleep at night. Now that is a praise report right there.

Continue to pray for Fe. They will visit here in Cambodia soon and we are waiting to see them again and hear from the horse’s mouth how she is doing.

Journey Update
HURT but CRAWLING TO THE SAFE GROUND!
I had my 18th Chemo today (in Manila)..DONE! 4 more to go! Praise God for His overflowing Grace.
Last night, Joshua our youngest son was brought to the hospital. He had high fever that didn't subside...this fever was on and off last week. He was brought to their school doctor for check up. The fever was gone but it came back with stomach pain and cough. Noel decided to bring him to the hospital. Tested for suspected Dengue Fever and x-rayed. The result came NEGATIVE of DENGUE but POSITIVE of PNEUMONIA!
As a Mom, I feel sad not being there by Joshua's side because I was fighting my own battle! Yet, I know that God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine and our Fight has been won!
Thank you Slochin Gragas for the comfort of your presence with me plus the buffet lunch... Also for Sis Arlene Bactol Villacastin for the help, Rose Frange for the visit...for family n church friends who cared n prayed...Thank You!
UPDATE on Joshua's condition.
He was confined at Iloilo Mission Hospital for 5days now. Praise God that he is negative of Dengue. His Pneumonia and UTI were treated with strong antibiotics. His medications were changed to Oral starting yesterday and we hope to be discharged today.
What can we say then, but THANK YOU LORD! For His sustaining grace...for His abundant love...His provision and His eternal salvation. We will give thanks to the Lord in all circumstances for this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus.
Thank you to those who have been praying for us. God bless you all!

Very wish words from a dear friend. Thanks Curt.
They will know we are Christians by our love.
Not by our political affiliations. Not by our race, creed, color, nationality or biases. Not by our chosen denomination. Not by who we endorse. Not by the message on our t-shirts. Or even the words we say.
And not by our Facebook posts.
But by our love.
They will know we are Christians by our love.
‘By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’ John 13: 35
