Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 13 August 2018

We are back home again, they say your home is where your heart is, but sometimes we are wondering about that, especially coming from Namibia and it’s beauty!! Our furlough was a whirlwind of emotions but we know that everything works out for good if we have faith in God. The day we landed in Namibia, Quintin, Toinette’s little brother went in for a Prostrate removal and we could not be there for him and had to wait for him to come back from SA to see him. In the meantime, Mordegai’s mum was in the hospital as well. We were divided into 2 as we wanted to be with both at this difficult time. A small visit with my mum put us at ease. We could move on to visit ouma Paula at the coast and really started our holiday. A visit to the big Etosha game park was just the thing for us to relax in the beauty that Namibia has to offer.

Just to come back and rush to see my mum back into the hospital again. This time she was not doing well. We watched her as she became better again and could go back home to my brother. We had to make big decisions to accommodate ouma and when my big brother visits, plans were made. Ouma did not got better and when we had to leave she end up in hospital again. This time she made a miraculous turn around. We praise God for His goodness and hearing our prayers. Continue to pray for her as she need to get to terms that she cannot go back to her small house in the province as they do not have doctors there. She will stay in a Retirement Home, close to my brother and sister.

Quintin is doing much better and still at home recovering, daily. Spending time with him makes me proud to be family, seeing him so strong in his faith. Pray with us as he still need to do blood tests to see if all the cancer is away.

My friend Deon is finish with his chemo and started work today. Pray for him as he is going his normal business and need to wait for a month to do more tests and possible operation. Pray for them as a family as they await the test results.

Our friend Mientjie Ellis had her second cataract operation and now she has inflammation in her eyes and it’s extremely painful. As I know her, she is not good when sitting down, so pray for patience as she needs to wait for healing.

I will rather stop here now. We have so many friends that need the hand of the Lord on them in this time. Pray together with us for a whole list of people. God surely know who they are.

I will be on the road again next week as Toinette is in Phnom Pehn with our NGO on a team building time together. Just talk to her and they are relaxing in style while we slaving it away, cleaning our home, hahaha.

Listening to the sermon yesterday and this verse stood out for me. Friends let us go out this week and just do this, and then we are winning.
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. 2 Peter 1:5-9

Thank you once again for praying for us.
Love
Rossouw-clan
