Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 5 Feb.2018

Just came back from Ratanakiri after an outreach first in Stung Treng with Samai. It was good to see old friends again in the bush at the small church. As we started many people came in and out and I was blessed by the way people enjoy for us to come and help them with various illnesses. There is such a big need to help people and also to encourage the local pastor in his work. Samai and his friend came with and both had good talks and building relationships with people. Love when pastors come together and help each other. Continue to pray for my friend Samai and his ministry doing church planting.

I had the boys with me. Gideon took a walk into the bush, exploring with a big knife, not sure how many trees he fell, but he enjoyed it. Anton sat next to me as he was the assigned photographer. Had to stop him taking to many pictures, hahaha. I was blessed seeing Anton mingled with an Ywam team that was at AOC. I can just hope and pray that he will learn something from other Christians as well. Gideon off course was at the goats and pigs.

Our time in Ratanakiri was set by the Lord. When I phoned James, he told me that he is at the hospital and his wife delivered a healthy baby girl named Lydia according to Acts 16:40. We had the privilege to take them home. It was good seeing my friend so happy and ready to be a father and his wife so happy as well. Please pray for them as they just came out of the hospital and need to settle into life at home now.

James took me to see another patient with a very nasty illness. Seeing him talking to the tribal people gives me more respect for these guys and how they love their own people. We went and see my favourite patient with leprosy. Her foot is getting worse by the day but there is nothing we can do. James advise her to go to PP but the family is not interested helping. She was asking when she will die then she does not have problems anymore. She also burned her hand by pushing wood into the fire. Please pray for healing for this two people.

Had breakfast with my friends Gordon and Bee in Banlung, this morning. It was so nice to hear how they go and make disciples wherever they go. What an example they are to us. Here is something again from them.
Thanks to all who were praying for our mission to Koh Kong last month. It was a joy to see how Mum Daen and his wife (Nin) are nurturing the growth of God’s family where they are nestled in the foothills of the Cardamom mountains. They are great examples of generosity, sowing themselves – their time, their income and the produce from the land God has blessed them with. 12 years in jail has left a strong impression on MumDaen about what is important in life –and now that he’s free, he’s not wasting a moment of it. He used to be motivated by anger, rage and violence. What a transformation that took place when he met Jesus in the Ratanakiri prison and began to devour the word of God. Now Daen and Nin are both shining with the joy of the Lord. Daen has always been quick and shrewd at business and now these qualities have been redeemed for good. He and Nin work hard on their land and the Lord has blessed them. Now Daen is helping others he has led to the Lord get set up in livelihood activities so they can be free to serve the Lord in their spare time. One of his “tentmakers” (Thit) is selling fresh meat by motorbike throughout the District. Thit rang excited a few days ago to relate how the Lord had led him to pray for one of his customers who had suffered stroke. This man experienced God’s healing touch and has now become a Christian together with his family. Exciting to see how God is using these new Christians in “marketplace ministry”. Thit was himself ordained as a Buddhist monk for 11 years and has been a Christian just over 1 year – discipled by Mum Daen. Please keep praying for them.
From Gordon

May this week be a wonderful week full of surprises for you all.
Love
