Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 29 January 2018

We finally made it to the province after a couple of setbacks. First I got a phone call where Greg is saying that his back is not up to it, but later decide to ride anyhow. Then when we meet we discover that Curtis’s bike is flushing oil like crazy. So much for a bike trip, but not to worry as I brought 2 small bikes along and we manage quite well.

Heang, his mum and me went to the new village and helped a lot of sick people. Was great to see Heang as he talks to the people about Christ and everyone was listening. We also could go and see the piece of land we got donated to build our little shelter. I think we will move forward now. There are 150 children that do not go to school, so the need is big. How it will play out, the Lord only knows. Like a friend said, “We must just be in God’s way then He can help us doing it.” The next step will be to clean the land and then get some wood to build. Pray with us as we need a lot of wisdom in doing this.

The next day it was into the bush and travelling with my friends it was a good thing. It is nice and hot and dusty now and makes for a bit of sweating. Going so frequently to these places have its benefits. I can monitor their blood pressures and see now that some of them are doing really good. I thank God that we can help people getting the right medications. I can see that my friends John and his family is doing well and thanks to God , he got more work to teach even in the high school. His English is very good and that opened a door for him.

Anton went on the annual Hope School Camp, somewhere in the hills between Phnom Pehn and Sihanoukville. Not nice to not have him around but we are glad that he could go on a nice camp. Pray that the children will experience God in a tangible way on the camp. He comes back on Thursday and then the boys and I will go up North to do some outreach with my friend Samai. Looking forward to that. Please pray for travel safety.

Twans continue to share about the students in Kouk Resay where she teaches every day. The grade 12’s are working hard and coming to class faithfully. We ask your prayer for them, in particular Bunthong, he is absent frequently and just seems unhappy the last few weeks. He is also separate from the others. Please pray also for Bunkhane, who is one of the first students who accepted the Lord. He shared with Twans how the situation at his home is not good, his brother, who is mentally handicapped and suffers from epilepsy, is now involved with a gang and his behaviour is bad. This affects Bunkhane. Pray for him, he is the only Christian in his family, a faithful and hardworking boy.  Here is a picture of the students doing a presentation on different professions for English class. Look how gifted during arts and crafts class.

101 kids came for Mighty Kids yesterday ! Praise the Lord. Twans shared about the Lost Son with the older group, Joshua Generation. There are 3 girls in this group that is showing more and more interest and asking questions about Jesus and faith.

Our staff Junmar with his students from “men of dignity” doing the electrical wiring of the Acts school in Torpeang Tom village near Siem Reap. Check them out on their webpage. The boys are learning plumbing, electricity, tiling etc.

Continue to pray for Angela and Argie and their beautiful baby boy , Christopher James. They will be back here in Siem Reap in April.

My friend Randy was preaching about, “Being a sweet fragrance”. That makes us think how we react daily when we meet people. Are we a sweet fragrance or do we stink?? Hmmm, something to think about this week.
But thanks be to God! For in union with Christ we are always led by God as prisoners in Christ's victory procession. God uses us to make the knowledge about Christ spread everywhere like a sweet fragrance. For we are like a sweet-smelling incense offered by Christ to God, which spreads among those who are being saved and those who are being lost. For those who are being lost, it is a deadly stench that kills; but for those who are being saved, it is a fragrance that brings life. Who, then, is capable of such a task? We are not like so many others, who handle God's message as if it were cheap merchandise; but because God has sent us, we speak with sincerity in his presence, as servants of Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:14-17 GNB

May this be a blessed week for you all and may the Lord be the centre of your daily walk.
Love
