Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 22 Jan.2018

Nice to be home again after a week in Phnom Pehn. Not missing the city at all. Was really great hanging out with good friends and working alongside them to further His Kingdom. I am on my way again tomorrow to Kampong Tom with my friends Greg and Curtis. We will visit the new place and see for ourselves what good work Heang is doing there, teaching people about God. We will also see how we can start building a small shelter for the school/church. After that we will go bush again and visit the people in Phnom Chi with some needed medicines. Of course on the bikes!!

This week brought some new challenges for us as we are again praying for our school, Hope School, which Anton is in. Lots of the teachers are leaving the end of this year (June) and that leaves them with a problem. Too few students and too few teachers as well. Please pray with us for a solution and pray for the board meeting that will be this week. God did not open this door for us for school so that it gets shut into our face again. Nothing is impossible for our God and we believe in this school. Pray for teachers that will come and serve in this small school. We are also in the process of securing Gideon’s school via ACE Australia. That is a new setup for us but we are confident that it will be good. The people are very helpful and we hope to get all the things sorted out soon.

Please pray for our friends Ben and Hannah as she is already 35 weeks pregnant and they will go over to Thailand at the end of the week in order for her to wait for the delivery. It is much easier and safely to do things in Thailand. The medical setup is so much better than they have here and getting passport ready for the child is so much easier. Pray for them as this will be a new season for them to go into. Hannah’s mum already arrived and the anticipation for the new baby is big.

8th CHEMO DONE...FRIENDS AND NEW HAIR.
My fellow Cancer patient , Marie shared her extra short hair wig. She is a sweet girl i befriended at the hospital. God bless her heart who is willing to share to ease the feeling of other patients.
Thanks to my friends: Lovely, for driving to and fro hospital and Mission house...Ruby, who didnt even have enough sleep a night before yet she was there to take care of my chemo needs. Of course to my deareast ONCO friend Tito Jo Marie who goes out of his way beyond his duties just to make sure i am treated well, my big thanks.
The highlight, thanks to Slochin who treated me to a Korean Resto, slept over and stayed over to have a brunch with me before i left for the airport. As the quote shared by my friend on FB says, “Sometimes it only takes a coffee or a meal together with a friend to get the therapy you needed." That's true!
And for you my friends who have been there always messaging , calling and praying for me, I speak God's blessings to be upon you. Thank you very much for being part of my journey!

I feel we are very privilege to be here in Cambodia. People are really open to receive help and receive Jesus at the same time. I think all the work that has been done over all these years before is paying off and we can see that people are really starting to accept the Lord. Ya ok , I know it’s a spiritual dark place this but we are the Light and we can make a difference wherever we are. Even if you are at your work in the USA or in Africa or in some god forsaken country, wherever you are, you can make a difference. No matter what people say, if we are willing to be led by the Holy Spirit we can make a difference. Let this be our motto this week. GO OUT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Love ya all
