Sorry for not writing last night. Me, Mordegai was
in the province and the internet was not working well. No excuses, but its
better today, back in Phnom Penh. I was working with some friends from Water of
Live, a team from the States that come over every year and conduct medical
outreaches. I always go with as their dentist. It was nice to see some really
good friends from many years back and tie again the friendship, deeper.
We went to 5 different locations in and around Phnom
Penh and the outreaches were very well received. Lots of people could get much
needed medicines and got rid of most rotten teeth and got prayed for at the
same time. We hope and pray that by helping the local pastors in their work, to
bring people closer to God. Yesterday was a real highlight to see families that
have been ministered to for many years, coming together and blessed us out of
our socks. This community know what it is to bless people. Thanks to a lot of
work done by the guys from Water of Life over many years. It just shows again
that by building solid relationships, people trust us to come and help them. So
wish that more people will see this as a way of working on the Field.
Met up with a good friend of mine, John Glason that
is staying in the same hotel, yes we get spoiled when we work in the city,
aircon and hot-water….. Just great talking to a fellow believer that work hard
for the Kingdom. I just realise that we need to be there for each other as we
never know what we will encounter tomorrow. Real friends you can rely on. Hopefully
we will spend more time hanging out later as he wants to accompany me on some
outreach to make videos of our work.
Speaking of work. Heang is saying that he currently
is seeing a lot of people in the new place. Called Chak Vay village, near his
house. We got a piece of land, 37x100m for free to build a school/church and
further our work there.
Samai is always asking for me to accompany him to a
new place in Stung Treng as they have really bad Malaria there. He will talk to
the Headman of the village about a piece of land where we can do the same by
building a shelter for school.
Pray for these 2 ventures as we can really help the
children to bring them to school in order for them to fulfil their duties to
their families. Lots of children are just working in the jungle as well as
farms as they are too far away from school.
Please continue to pry for our friends, Jacob and
Carmen in Tanzania.
The Tanzanian Aviation Authority granted
me a temporary license for a month and last week I was able to do one of the
monthly evangelistic medical outreaches to the region of Dodoma. Though we are
still waiting for the permanent verification of my pilot license this is
definitely an answer to prayer and a small step in the right direction. In the
meantime, I made a short video about some highlights of this last week and some
pictures of our trip to the Tanzania coast with Carmen's Parents.

The internet has been exceptionally bad
for the past few weeks. We apologize for our lapse in communication.
Continue to pray for Fe and her family.
DISCIPLE KIDS...i am blessed to be
overseeing the Children's ministry of the church in preparing the kids to face
the challenges of their faith and to be God's instrument in leading others to
Christ.
Our Sunday School team joined a training
in using a Curriculum that would help us achieve this goal. The challenge is on
our hands now, if we won't disciple our kids...the world will.
Praise God for our zealous and
passionate teachers.
Please pray for God's strength, grace
and anointing for us.
Another great testimony from my friend Dolfy in the
Philippines:
We were on the way from Talacogon to the
Doctor’s Hospital in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, where James needed to go
for dialyses. During our ride Ivie told us a story from years ago. In 1988-89
Noel Livesy brought some young Manobos to the Southern Baptist Agricultural
Training Center in Labnig, Talacogon. James and Ivie were the trainers there.
Noel gave James a brown bag with a Study-Bible in it, which became his favorite
one.
He was very sad when he lost it one day
on the way home, where it must have fallen off on the bumpy logging road. In
1998-99 the Southern Baptists turned the project over to the owners of the
land. James and Ivie moved to Davao because they needed to find other work. In
one of those days James made a tour by motorbike to Labnig. In Prosperidad he
stopped at a shelter because it started to rain. There was a little restaurant
and he ordered some food and thanked the Lord for it. The elderly lady, who
served the food asked him, if he was a Christian to which he answered with
“yes”. Soon her relative came too and asked him if he was James Gorre. James
said "yes". The man then told him that about 10 years ago he found a
brown bag with a Bible on the logging road where he was doing illegal logging
with his water buffalo. In that Bible the Name James Gorre was written. A few
days after he had found that Bible he was hit so badly by a horn of the water
buffalo so that he could not work for many weeks. So, he started to read in
that Bible and eventually became a believer. Later, he went to Bible School and
now he is pastoring a church. Amazing how the Lord uses different methods of evangelism
to bring people to himself!
My hope for this week is that more people will get
in contact with God like this logger. Go out and touch people with God’s love.
Love from house to house
