Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 18 December 2017

It was really nice to have my best friend here but it was sure sad to see him and his family leave again. We shared so much things together in such a short time. They just landed in NZ as we speak.

I am sitting outside and wait for our meat to cook and then we will Braai it till perfection. We have our German friend, Petra and family and her mum here for dinner. This will be our Pre-Christmas dinner not that we haven’t had enough parties already. We had all the FGC staff here a couple of nights ago and yesterday Toinette had a very big Christmas celebration with all the Mighty Kids and afterwards another Christmas party with members of the River of Life church. Last night we had a combined church service and shared a meal together. It was great singing Christmas songs and listens to how Jesus was born. We need to hear that more often as this is the most important event on our Christian calendar. This week we still need to visit school for a Christmas party and then finally we can continue to do something for ourselves.

I will go to Thor Piang Rosey and do a medical on Thursday and will be in time for Christmas as I come back on the 23rd. Recently I talk to a pastor friend, which as help in the New Year to go and plant more churches in the cut-down forest. Small pockets of people are staying the lost forest as they are farming. There is nothing in forms of clinic or schools etc. Perfect time for us to go and do medical/church planting. Pray with us for this new venture. The lady that got burned is healing up pretty good, Praise God for that.

The small girl that landed under the hand-tractor is still in hospital as she broke her leg in 2 places and has some internal injuries. Pray for the parents as they are afraid that she will die.

Ouma Paula, Toinette’s mum, fell down a few days ago and broke her shoulder. She is currently in hospital and will be operated on tomorrow. They will do a have shoulder replacement. Praise God that brother Albert and his family is there to help Ouma in this very difficult time. Pray for healing and restoration.

 Continue to pray for Fe:

Some news from Carmen and Jacob:
We want to thank you all for continuing to join in lifting up Bernadetta. Jacob and I went last Sunday (10th) evening to visit and assess how things were going as she had been asking to see us and the baby. Esta is thriving in the care of her young aunti. It is evident that she is doing well and that her aunti is loving on her.
Bernadetta was not looking so good. She had received one round of dialysis and another blood transfusion. Despite her pain and weak condition, she knew who we were and spent a long time holding our hands and was over joyed to see her baby Esta even though she didn't have the strength to hold her.
We were so blessed to see around 30 people come to visit her during the hour we were there! All her siblings have come in from the village and it was a blessing to see the community come around her to leave small gifts of food, encourage, and pray for her. It is now four days since then; she has had a total of three dialysis treatments and four more units of blood. The Doctors are saying she seems to be stable again. She was able to do a few things with assistance again.
The blood donation system here is on an as needed bases and is usually supplied by the friends and family of the patient. Power outages make it impossible to draw and store blood for later use. HIV, Hepatitis and the wrong blood type are also issues that often rule out potential donors. With these hurdles, it has been a challenge to round up enough people who are eligible to donate. The immediate circle of family and friends has been exhausted and they are trying to reach further into the community as the doctors are asking for additional units of blood.
Please keep her in your prayers. We are reminded that it is only through God's intervention that she is still alive and we praise Him for her testimony!

In this wonderful time of Christmas we still need to pray for our friends and family. Thank you all who are opening this and look at this in this festive time and pray with us. May this time be a blessed time for you all and may the Lord bless you all. Merry Christmas to you all.
 Love
Rossouw-clan
