Spend a precious few days with my best friend and
his family. We went to Stung Treng and went into the bush to a small church
deep into the jungle. Katy was with me and it was good having a trained EMT
with me. Together with Samai and Karla we could help a lot of people. We could
give out some beautiful dresses that were left by Kwan and Chris and also give
the older people some reading glasses, thanks to Dave Tunkin. Katy helped a guy
that was bit by a dog that he wanted to cook, but the dog fought back and win
the fight; the guy was to drunk…… After cleaning and some meds he was on his
merry way again.
This little church grew from 6 families to 50
families in no time. Due to that, there are many children that cannot go to
school as it’s too far. We went to the piece of land that was donated to us for
building a small dwelling to use as a small school. We are looking to start
building in the New Year. Pray with us that this will come to be a blessing to
many children in the jungle.
We also visited the anti with bad Leprosy in
Ratanakiri. It was great to see her again but not to see how far her infection
is growing. Soon she will not have any foot left. Pray for this anti.
Continue to pray for Fe.
6 CHEMO CYCLES DONE, 16 MORE TO GO!
This journey seems to be long but i am
confident that it has and end. Praise God that He will never leave nor forsake
me. Happy that He surrounds me with people who love and care to pray,
encourage, send some support.
I am accommodating my meds well and
these new ones don't have much adverse effect on me...taste buds are ok but my
immune system has gone low.
I am coughing a bit having a lot of sick
people around.
My hair is starting to grow and I am
happy to go out without wearing my wig but with my new
hat.
Please pray for my boys to cope well in
our transition period.
Also please remember the other cancer
patients i was able to listen to...each one has his own story of their
struggles. Hope to be a blessing to them as well.

Some news from our good friends Jacob and Carmen in
Tanzania.
We have written up a blog post on
Bernadetta and the past few weeks. Thank you all for your prayers! God has been
working in wonderful ways and we believe this has a lot to do with with prayer
We have both good and bad news.
Good news first. Baby Esta stayed two
nights with us after being released from the hospital. She is eating, gaining
weight, and currently being cared for by her aunt. Bernadetta, however, has
been on a slow decline again. We just received word this morning from the
doctor that her condition is critical. He said: "I went to the hospital
yesterday for the first time in a couple of days, she was a lot worse with her
kidneys shutting down. We are trying to arrange dialysis but she needs a
miracle."
Please pray for a little tribal girl that came all
the way from Ratanakiri to the hospital in Siem Reap as she landed underneath a
hand-tractor and broke her leg. They send her to another hospital and now the
dad is afraid to ask the doctor to return to the original hospital, where we
can help him. Pray for him to build up courage and ask the doctor.
Good news is that my friend Heang from Thor Piang
Rosey, visited the new village and they went to look for a place to build the
small school we are planning. The people are very happy that we want to help
them and are willing to help us build the small building. Pray that we can
start to build soon. I will be there in a week’s time and arrange some things.
As you can see, we need some prayers. On our way
back from Ratanakiri the car’s front tire burst and I had to stop very carefully.
I praise God for protection. May this week be filled with tons of blessings.
