Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 27 July 2026

Sjoe, what a week this was. Anton came to visit for a week only and that made our hearts so happy, like they say in Afrikaans:” Die Kaap is weer Hollands.”” The bad part is that he is leaving again late this afternoon. Well now our “” small boy”” need to go and do an internship as part of his last trimester. After 12 weeks he will be finish with his Diploma. It is another new milestone for him in his future.

Sonny and Angela came and visit the NGO and on Friday night we had a grand affair where we officially closed FGC Community Link and started Good Shepherd Ministry, although its running for a while but any excuse for a party. What a nice night we had. Great Khmer food and even better fellowship with all the staff. It makes us oldies proud to see these youngsters standing up and leading the way forward.

Then on Saturday some students decided to get baptized and it was a big celebration again to see these youngsters giving their lives to the Lord. Sonny and Moun did the honors and afterwards they enjoyed swimming and eating. These guys know how to party that’s for sure.

On Sunday there was a combined children’s ministry and then a big celebration again. Three couples that got married did not had a Christian celebration yet and they got re-married in the church under the watchful eyes of the Lord. Ps. Chai did the honors and Sonny gave a message afterwards. Now 2 of the couples had babies already and it was a proud moment for us all. Off course grandpa and grandma had to take care of babies, love them soooo much. Off course we had a great feast afterwards.

What a festive time we had this weekend and are looking forward to the rest of the year as the local staff need to step up and continue the work, time for the oldies to stand back and let the youngsters lead. Please pray for this NGO to be faithful in doing God’s work.

Please continue to pray for the Warrens as 2 of them end up with Dengue fever. Kristen is still in hospital and Abraham at home. We know that this illness does not leave you for 2 weeks at least.

Ria is resting at Donny’s house and will go to another hospital for a 2nd opinion this week. Please pray that the doctors will make the right decision and convince them to listen this time.

Love you all

Rossouw-clan
